I need a source to buy embroidery cards for my Bernina Artista 180. I just purchased it used and comes with just the alphabet card. I don't have an ibm computer to use cd's. Thanks

This is a great machine you have. I have the 170 so you're a step above me! The cards can be purchased at any Bernina dealer. If you log on to (you can go to the library and use their computer) and click on dealers in your area. You can place an order through them or visit the store to select what you need. If that isn't convenient you can go on eBay. There are usually tons of cards for sale at a discount. Just be sure they say Artista since that is the model you have. Another site is Just check the state and closest city near you. Most of the time there are local people selling cards and you can pick them up at their house. Be careful though if you get it through anyone other than a dealer. Make sure it is an Artista card and not a COPY that they made. Good luck. I wish you happy embroidering!

Needle broke of and I think it went into the bobbin area. Now I think that the timing is off . I have a bernina 180.

Have you removed the broken pieces? The bobbin holder snaps out with 2 side holders to remove broken needle pieces. I don't think that the timing can get off by a broken needle. My first original bobbin holder got damaged which was made of hard plastic, from embroidering, and I ordered a stainless steel model which is available from a Bernina dealer, and all works very well for the last 2 years, there was never any problem.

You need a serial cable and connect it to the Bernina and also to the serial port on the computer.

Unfortunatly I think the S-print circuitboard just went bad. You will need to go to a dealership and have one ordered and installed.

Hello. No, the only way you are going to get this to work is to replace the software with new ones, as all software come with different dongle numbers. The dongle numbers are specifically for the software that you have, you can't even change dongles. Can you get in touch with the seller to give you the dongle? I have a set of Cracked software for the BERNINA ARTISTA 180 that I can copy for you for $200, which you don't need a dongle for. Email me on: I have a BERNINA ARTISTA 180 as well and this is the software I run. RRP for the VERSION 3 and the CPS software is $4500.00. Thanks. Lawrence
