Question about Husqvarna Garden
Sounds like your seat/safety switch is malfunctioning. Try running a loop wire by unplugging it from the seat and connecting a wire from one terminal to the other to complete the circuit

Did you try to disengage the safety feature that should shut the tractor off when the blades are engaged and the tractor is placed in reverse? I believe that it is located under the shift leaver

I have the same tractor. If you have the transmission in <reverse> this will happen every time. It's a safety feature. Be sure the tractor is in <neutral> or one of the 6 forward gears.

The PTO switch contacts to operate the clutch that starts the blades is defective. I have replaced mine and the new one just failed again. Sears must know this is a defect problem but so far they are quiet about the problem
