Lost my picture when went to pip

I have dish network connected to my tv. I was trying to bring up the pip on the satellite remote. Everything was ok until I changed the channel with the satellite remote. I have good sound, can pull up all dish network dvr and help screens. My other tv on this receiver is fine.

Re: lost my picture when went to pip

Check your PIP source. I couldnt figure out my LCD pip, and why it wasnt working either until I was able to switch the source. It was automatically using a source that didnt have anything hooked up to, I had to switch mine in order for it to work. Try that and see if that might be the case. let me know. thanks!

How do i get tv to pick up channels?

Hi Meagan, my name is Cheri Torres and I work with DISH Network Internet Response Team. I came across your post and wanted to see if I could help. Connecting your TV to your DISH Network receiver should be fairly easy, depending on the connections you are using. If you are using an HDMI cable you will need to connect one side of it to your TV and the other end into your DISH receiver, as long as you have an HD receiver. If you do not have an HD receiver you are probably going to want to use composite cables(red, white and yellow). If you are using either of these cables you are going to have to set your TV to an input in order to receive the DISH picture. You can select an input by finding a button on the TV remote or the TV itself that is listed as input, source, AUX, mode or video. You will need to cycle through each one until you find the DISH picture on one of them. Once you have the picture you will need to press SAT on your DISH remote and everything should be working fine from there. I hope this information is useful and if you have further questions feel free to ask!

Unit is on Dish Network. Timed out during nite. "Locked" message on. Experimenting with remote was usless. No picture. Unit is small flat screen. Gift, no manual.

First, power down the Receiver and remove the card, disconnect your dish networking data cables. ( All )
Power down your TV.
Allow 2 minutes for the dish receiver to set, before powering up.
Next, reconnect all cables to dish Receiver and power on the TV and Receiver.
Next, plug in the card for Receiver.
The unit should cycle and show network accessing satellites.
If you have used this system before, you should know any setup steps or configurations.
Hope this has been of some help and your system now works.
Please rate kindly.

HD not fitting on screen not sure of settings

Both the TV and Satellite box will have various size settings. The box remote probably has a button devoted to it.. could named several different things, (aspect, size,picture,etc..) on tv menu you will find a section devoted to picture size or you may even have a button on your tv remote just like the sat box does, most do.

2 screens

You're talking about picture-in-picture. Simply hook up a second source or split the one cable input you have now into two leads with a splitter from somewhere like Radio Shack. Then bring up the PIP and select the input. Now you have two different things to watch each from their own channel. This wont work if you have dish... But you could watch the DVD perhaps if you hook it into one of the available inputs in the back of the Tv and select that input in PIP mode.
Good Luck!
