Question about Frigidaire PLMV169DC Microwave Oven
This sounds like an IC problem on the board. They typically use IC's to switch the lamps on and off. Sometimes the IC's short out and stay closed. I saw this problem a lot on another make in the past.

Your Control Key Pad is a circuit with each function and button a switch. The pad on your TV Remote, and Telephone is no different. The Key Pad is failing, It will only get worse. Determine if you can replace the Touch (Key) Pad. Not the Control Circuit, just the Touch Pad. Sometimes you can get it seperate. It connects by a Flex Cable to the Control Circuit.
