I have sony handycam. I

I have sony handycam. I used to prepare the vcd from the mini dv on my pc itself by using the picture package menu program. I prepared around 10-12 such vcds. Now I am getting problem. The vcd is being prepared but it runs slow either on the TV or on the pc even. I opted for the solution given in the menu to reduce the image quality if the picture is not smooth but of no use . On the contrary by that the picture quality reduced. What should I do.
