Reset my apple password

If you mean the WIFI password for you broadband router do the following.
connect router to computer using Cat5 network cable.
type the make and model of your router and google it to find it's IP address.
enter IP address into bowser and you should be able to log and change the inscription key.
Pass words and Name for router logon are usually default unless you have changed them yourself and available on the web, if not you will have to reset the router to default.
You may also have a sticker on the router that shows this information.

I bought a used apple powerbook G4,my wifi does not work without a password but I don't know that password, how do I find password

Lack of information , What is the model number of the wi-fi router. Once you know this google search for default ip address (with the router model number) then google search default password (with router model) then open a browser with p.c or laptop directly connected to the router via an ethernet patch cable. Type in ip address in browser. then log into router. And go to security and look what the encryption key is and make a note of it, if you have a working device already on the wi fi you may be able to log into the router. typical default router addresses are 192.168.0.1 ot 10.0.0.1 your may be different.

I have bought an apple 1143 router and don't know the password have tried apple defaults to no avail

Most of the time a new router will require "admin" in the user login and "password" in the password window- but often the password is left blank. It seems that Apple has designated the default password to "public" no quotation marks.

If this is a used modem, and If you have not yet done so, try resetting to factory defaults with a paperclip tool.

Net gear wireless router N150 router WNR1000

Looking for the NETGEAR WNR1000 default password?

You probably have little reason to access your router on a regular basis so don't feel too bad

f you've forgotten the WNR1000 default password.

However, when you're troubleshooting a network problem and need to get in to the device,

the WNR1000 default password suddenly becomes very important.

For most versions of the NETGEAR WNR1000, the default password is password. As with most passwords,

the WNR1000 default password is case sensitive

Be sure to change the default router password on your WNR1000 to something more secure as soon as you're in.

Then use a free password manager so you'll never forget your new WNR1000 password
hope this helps

Password problems.

Depending on the type of router, you could have various defaults set, if you never changed them.
You can press the reset button somewhere located on the router itself, using a pen/pin/pencil, and then google your brand of router asking what the default password is.
If it is a Linksys, you could google "Linksys default password" or "Linksys default login" for example.

I have lost the security code and have a new laptop, how do i set it up to work

Hi!

If you don't remeber the wireless security code, maybe you still remeber the user and password to access the web management interface of the router.
Then you have to connect the laptop to the router by using a network cable. Open a browser window, type in the IP adress of your router and check the wireless setup section. There you can find / modify the wifi security code.

If you don't know the router's IP adress, then open on your computer a ms-dos prompt and type the command
ipconfig /all

it will display your current IP adress, subnet mask and GATEWAY. The gateway adress is the router's IP adress that must be typed into the browser.

If you don't remember the user and password for accessing the router's web interface, please refer to the router's user manual in order to reset it to factory default configuration, and then proceed as for the first installation of the router.

Hope it helped,

Bogdan

Hi Guest….not sure why this issue is occurring, but this is what I would do:

1. Connect to router via Ethernet cable (not wireless)

2. Try 1234 instead of password

3. Ensure caps lock is off (OK, it’s an old one, but it can happen)

4. If the router came from your ISP, check their website – sometimes they install their own firmware and default password (eg, UK Sky users - try password sky)

5. Reboot your router, then see if it accepts the defaults

6. If you bought the router new, it's fresh out of the box, and you’re setting it up – and the defaults don’t work - contact Netgear

7. If anyone else set up the router, or you bought it second-hand, or you think the password has changed and you don't know the new password- it’s time to consider a hard reset.

This is a last resort, as it will clear all settings and cut off your internet connection, until you set up the router again. A hard reset is only recommended for experienced users (ie if you set up your own router in the first place). However, if this doesn’t restore defaults either, contact Netgear.

Good luck whatever you decide to do.
