My nordyne m1 mb 056a bw heater isnt working...a red light flashes twice, which means "Pressure switch is open"...how do i fix it?


First, I am assuming that this is a residential gas fired furnace. 1. The first thing that will happen once the furnace gets a call for heat is the small draft inducer motor will come on. 2. The pressure switch should close. If the switch is not closing, here is a list of possible reasons: 1. The draft inducer motor is not running. 2. There is a restriction in the flue or heat exchanger. 3. The tubing from the pressure switch is not connected or has a leak. 4. The pressure switch may be defective or stuck open. Note: this is not an exhaustive list, but should cover the most common causes. Also, you may have to unplug the furnace and then plug it back in before it will try to come on. It may be locked out on the control board because of the pressure switch fault. I hope this helps!

I have a Goodman GMP 125-5 furnace. It had a 3 light code i replaced the presure switch now it is giving me a 1 light code please help

I have goodman GMP series furance the furnance and gas comes on and fires up then goes out flame sensor is good what else could be wrong


Improper ground from control to burner.
Incorrect electrical wiring, check polarity.
Tubing partially clogged between inducer and proving switch.

I am having a problem with the furnace not always starting and locking out after 3 tries. However, if I leave the door off, the furnace works fine. I suspect the pressure switch called "Front Cover...


Hello, The first thing to check is the door switch on the furnace. it is located behind the blower compartment door. Turn off power to the unit and disconnect the wires going to the door switch, use a multimeter and set it to ohms, place each meter lead to the terminals on the door switch you should read infinite ohms, if not replace the switch. Let me know what you find.

Suddenly not working im not sure if there even is a pilot to be lit


Goodman have troubleshooting idiot lights on the board. Look for flashes and count em.
The flash explanations are printed on the backside of the blower cover on most models.

Goodman 95 %furnace keeps saying low pressure is stuck. changed out low pressure switch and high pressure switch and still have same problem.


That thang might be sensing a lazy flame. In other words the flames took too long in the board's opinion to quit sensing the flame. Yall probably need to do pressure tap on the gas valve.

Bottom dollar: it all goes back to type of gas, the initial setup, the pressure tap. and how it is wired up to begin with.

My furnace wont come out of lock out mode


Pressure swithc stuck closed? try undoing on of the wire going to the pressure switch and see if it stays on longer. Make sure you tested all limit switches there are usually at least 3 and up to 5
