Have a carrier furnace model 58DHC095.it go thru its normal cycle for heat but the fan wont come on until the cycle end and furnace over heats. the fan works on all speeds and I have replaced the cont


There has to be a mechanical thermostat and it is sticking or other wise defective. I don't think that the control board is defective because it finally does turn the fan on. However the mechanical thermostat is there to prevent the fire box temperature from getting too high before the fan starts, but there must also be a over heat thermo disc that will shut the fire off when the fire box gets too high.

My 1991 s-10 pickup 2.5 cranks but won't start


Make sure distributor cap and rotor are good. Make sure there's no carbon tracking or corrosion inside the cap. Make sure the carbon button isn't worn out. Contained within the distributor is the ignition module. This would give you a no spark condition.

I had my spark plugs changed today and now my car won't start it will turn over but won't start


fuel problem or spark problem neither is associated with a change in sparkplug unless you had a sever misfire that you let go for a long time to cause thhe igition module to fail.and this include the crank sensor that is underneath the ignition module. cycle the key you should hear a humm at the fuel tank and that is the fuel pump working if you hear the fuel pump then more than likely you will need to correct for spark ignition module and crank sensor

Heater keeps turning on & off. Come on & you can see the flame & hear it come on then seconds later it goes off & then starts then back off. What could be the problem?


That sound to me like the flame sensor is contaminated . Get a dry brillo pad and clean it up. Then restart it. I have 2 offerings here:

See older electronic ignition systems used a grounding wire from the spark electrode to verify heat and therefore ignition and newersystems now use a flame detector to sense resistance changes and verify that YES Houston we indeed have igition!. So what happens is the gunk on the sensor prevents the control from readily sensing ignition, it has a cow and shuts down everything.

Heater is on firing up- everything seems ok but there is nogas-goes thru the cycle with igniter glow orange but does not ignite- there doesnt seem to have any gas present to ignite weathermaker 8000


the igniter has to have proper omhos to open gas valve.
recommend replacing igniter. be careful not to touch new igniter with bare hands. oils in the skin of your hands will cause the igniter to get too hot and burn out quick
