Okay, Printing is done completely from the laser and drum. The optics have nothing to do with that. I'd advise you to shut it down (properly using user functions- user- shut down) and then remove your scan glass and clean the mirrors (BE VERY VERY VERY CAREFUL. These are first surface mirrors, they are much easier to scratch than your bathroom or car mirror and if you do scratch them they are worthless). Use something like a cotton ball and be very careful to keep your fingers off the mirrors. The oil in your skin can damage them.
