Problem start when i turn Oven only on teka, then the fuses blown up. I can still use grill but whwn I turn to oven fuses go blow up again.

Hi! It seems it is not the heating element! It seems to be before that. Either a short circuit delivering to much current thus causing the blow. I would check the corresponding cable all the way to the circuit and the circuit elements corresponding to the oven element. The grill and oven elements being "independent" explains why grill still works. (A short circuit seems quite possible to me!)

We have a George Foreman grill Model GR144. We bought it at the Wal-Mart in Canon City, Co. on 02/28/11. We have only used it four times. The last time we used it on 06/20/11, it cooked the hamburgers...

Hello,

The grill is not heating because the heating element of the grill is either defective, or there is a disconnection of wires connected to the heating element. Heat coming from the grill can melt the wire if it is close to it. But if problem is not from the wire, then the heating element is defective and needs replacement.

First, have the wires checked to make sure it's not disconnected. Also, check other parts to make sure there are intact.

Get a screw driver, disassemble the grill, check the wires connected to the heating element. If wires are intact, then you need to replace the heating element.

If you cannot perform the above task, then you might be needing the help of a repairman or you can call a family or friend that has the ability to help you out.

I wish you the best of luck.

Regards.

My omega europa oven is not heating up .grill fan

Sounds like a faulty fan oven element. To replace: Disconnect from power (usually easiest to switch off at fuse box). Remove racks etc from inside oven. Remove rear panel inside oven- four screws. You will now see a heating element that goes around the fan- often you see blow mark on element. You need to remove the back panel of oven to access the nuts that hold element in- two nuts, undo nuts, remove wiring from element. New element available from any good appliance repair shop. Reverse procedure to refit. Happy fixing!!

The element on my grill inside the oven is not heating up?

There are two possibilities of what is wrong here.

One is that the grill element has failed and may need to be replaced.

Second it could be a failure in the grill element control circuit (in effect the temperature regulator) thus not allowing power to the element.

Most likely it will be the grill element.

You would need to test with a multimeter to determine which a) by checking the resistance reading of the element and then b) the continuity of the control circuit.

I need to replace the bottom element in my oven

You need to check the heating element for continuity and the thermistor for continuity. Use an ohmmeter or multimeter to check. The element should not be any reading over 24 ohms for a 220-250V supply and not over 12 ohms for a 110Vac supply. A good tip is to take digital photos of the job before starting on removing and testing wiring etc so that you can refer back to it if you have to replace any items or forget which wires attach to any particular terminal etc.

To test and replace the element:

  1. Turning off the mains power to the oven.
  2. Remove the lower back panel. Fan assisted ovens will have a coiled 2 or 3 turn element around the outside of the fan.
  3. Remove the 2 power connectors to the grill element if one is fitted.
  4. Check the element resistance reading on the main oven heating element and not the grill element.
  5. The thermistor or fusible link is located on top of the oven cavity if fitted and has two wires attached to it - most likely to be red and black or both white wires.
  6. Remove the earthing wire to the main oven heating element screw terminal.
  7. Unscrew the grill element securing screws(s) - there will be 1 or 2 depending on the element fitted to your oven. Do this from inside the oven cavity itself.
  8. Refit the new element (make sure it has the same mounting screw holes as the one you want to remove) then secure it.
  9. Reconnect the earthing wire to the element screw post.
  10. Make sure that neither of the element tags touch the chassis - check with a continuity tester of ohm meter and adjust if required.
  11. Reconnect the power cables to the main oven heating element.
  12. Reconnect the power cables to the grill element if one is fitted.
  13. Reconnect the power and check that the element works correctly.
  14. Disconnect the mains power again and replace the rear panel(s).
  15. Reconnect the mains power and recheck that the oven, and if appropriate the grill, functions correctly.
