Question about Electrolux Dishwashers

Open Question

I have an Electrolux dishwasher model EIDW6305GS1A that has run fine for the past 2 years. All of a sudden it gets stuck in a wash cycle and shows in the display "hd" (heat delay). Had a technician look at it and he says the water entering the dishwasher is not hot enough for the heating element to boost the heat when it kicks on. I was told to run the hot water in the faucet first before using the dishwasher. Never had this problem before and this does not completely help. Dishes are not as clean as they were in the past. Still get the "hd" display but only for a short period. I checked the water at the tap and it is 140 degrees. Manual says it should be at least 120. Dishwasher is located next to the sink so it is not a long run. Dishwasher is tapped into the hot water line only. My question is, how can I have scolding hot water at the tap, but when it enters the dishwasher it is not hot enough, luke warm to the touch when I open the door? I have also contacted Electrolux they say it is not the dishwasher since "hd" is not an error code. They suggest I contact a plummmer.

"Does your machine take in hot or cold water. If it takes in hot water the element that heats and maintains the heat may be defective. If it takes in cold water the element is heating it but the thermostat is cutting out the element at too low a temperature. Normally dishwashers take in cold water and heat it to the required temperature, which would mean that the thermostat is faulty? "

The machine takes in hot water. I was told by the technician and Electrolux that the machine only heats the water only when it goes into sanitize mode, but the water must be hot enough already for the machine to raise it to the proper temperature. If not in stays in the "hd" mode. Other than that it runs on the temperature of the hot water from the tap. And as I said it is 140 degrees.

My Electrolux Diswasher Model EIDW5705PS is stuck in Loc mode

Good Morning Friend,

I understand your Electrolux dishwasher, model# EIDW5705PS, keeps getting stuck in LOC mode. I also see that you are looking for another way to reset it, other than having to uninstall it. First, I suggest trying to unlock your appliance by pressing and holding down the "Air Dry" button for 3-5 seconds. If that doesn't work, I suggest resetting your appliance, by shutting the power off at your home's circuit breaker, for 20-30 minutes. Restore power and try any cycle. I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your appliances status has changed successfully. Hope this is helpful.

-Best Regards-

I was shown how to clear your dishwasher and keep it running much longer. however, be careful when doing this. start with an empty dishwasher. pour 12 cups of cold water to the bottom area of tub and wearing latex, or rubber gloves, measre and por in exackly 2 cups of ammonia. let that solution sit there either all day, or overnight, at least a few hours, then run it through your machine, do not add anything else. do not do this with small children around. if you prefer buy the largest jug od vinegar (white) and pour it full strength into tub of your macine. let stand sevral hours, then put through a light or regulsr cycle. if you encountet that same problem empty, press drain cycle. retry usingrinse cycle instead. let me know if his resolnves your problem.

Electrolux Dishwasher EDW7505HPS stopping a cycle

you could always put dishes needing washing in the washer and run cycle. The electric element will heat the water to 140 degrees and it will clean just fine.

When I press the start button, Bosch dishwasher (model SHY56A 05UC) just keep running the motor pumping the water out of dishwasher, irrespective of: 1) the wash cycle it is on, 2) whether the door is...

what is happenig i believe and has happened to me 2 times is that the water level float that is on the left side of dishwasher is stuck.

Either remove side panel and flick lever or pull dishwasher out and tap lower portion of panel and this will cause the level to move and then see hat happens

Hi, I have an Electrolux ESL 4115. It seems to be stuck on 50 degrees but wont start as usual when I close the door, the on/off button works and lights functioning as normal but that's all. Thanks

I had a similar problem - seemingly stuck or locked with a solid light showing (in my case on the 65 degree wash). Nothing seemed to unlock it. But when I closed it and went away to think about what to do next - some 5 minutes later - it made its end-of-cycle peeps. It now works fine. All I can think of is that I must have interrupted the previous wash cycle l was using before it had ended, and had left the door ajar. all it needed was the door closing for the cycle to finish. Does that help?

During wash cycle it gets stuck and won't move past the wash cycle. On a regular wash it is at 28minutes and when it is on a fast wash it is at 25 minutes. If I stop it and turn on the rinse cycle it will...

I've got the same problem with the bottom drawer on the DD605. No fault codes were set. I checked the heating element and it produced heat quickly. I suspect that the water temp sensor isn't satisfied, and the timer is waiting for the water to reach the correct temperature. I called F&P's 24/7 helpline and they seemed to have no knowledge of this issue (clearly, it's not uncommon), other than suggesting that I disconnect it from the power supply for one minute, which didn't solve the problem.

Kenmore Dishwasher 587.15163401 knob stuck mid-cycle

See if it is stuck on a water heat cycle. if the heater circuit or the thermostat is not working properly it will continue to run looking for a rise in temperature. If these are in working order the timer it self could be sticking and not advancing.

Maytag dishwasher quiet series 400. Dishes have hard stuck on grit and food particles after rinsed and dried.

Very common problem is soap build up in these machines. Try putting it into a wash cycle with no dishes, and no soap. Let it wash for about 5 minutes, and then open the door. If you see alot of soap suds, then soap build up is the problem. Try doing a couple loads with no soap, and no dishes, and throw a cup of vinegar into the machine halfway through the wash. Repeat as necessary. This should solve your problem.

Water left after finishing wash

I have a Bosch Dishwasher and the E-Nr is SGS4362EU/03. The machine is approximately 4 years old, in good condition and has been working very well. Suddenly, there is water remaining after it completes a 50 degrees C wash cycle. This is also evident with the pre wash cycle and the 65 degrees wash cycle.

I have checked and cleaned the filters. I have loosened the internal pump white cover (Torx T 20 screw) and checked for any physical blockage - none. I have also checked for any drainage hose kinks - none.

I have tried a series of empty washes and the machine drains the water during the wash cycles. The dishes are also have a dull colour and show show signs of not being properly rinsed during the wash cycle.

Please assist.

Brian
