Need a new display on laptop

If you mean it needs a new screen, this is not a difficult task, although unless you get one 2nd hand, can be in the region of £50-90 to buy, depending on the size of the screen.

Most laptops are similar to replace the screen on:

Prise off the small rubber covers on the screen bezel
Undo all the bezel retaining screws
Gently snap off the bezel, pushing the latch hooks inward as you release the top of the bezel
Undo the screws that hold the screen supports to the lid of the laptop
Gently pull the screen with supports attached forward
Undo the small screws that hold the screen to the hinges, but leave one in each side for now
Unclip the 30pin VGA cable connector from the screen and the pink/white connector from the inverter at the bottom of the screen.
Remove the screws remaining and lift the screen away
Replacement is the reverse of dismantling.

I replaced a laptop screen for a client 2 days ago!

I get my screens from Very professional and fast delivery! I ordered and it came next day at 9am! It is £10 for delivery but it is special delivery and you get compensation incase of damage in transit. Just search the site for the make and model of your laptop. Very Simple, get a thin flat blade or knife. Gently prise off the front plastic bezel of the laptop screen. Once you have the front bezel off you will see screws holding the screen in place Remove the screws and gently remove the old screen, lay it flat on the keyboard, place some kitchen roll or other on the keyboard to rest the screen on. Next you will notice a ribbon cable, and a power cable Disconnect both ribbon and cable and remove the screen Refitting is the opposite of taking the old screen out Place in new screen, attach the ribbon cable, secure it with tape. Attach the power cable into the invertor. Please make sure that both the cables are tucked into the laptop screen hinge. Clip the front bezel back on Very simple just take your time. Worth doing it yourself rather than paying £30-£50 to have it fitted by a pro You will feel good after you did it Hope this helps you Please rate! Thanks!

Got any step by step instructions on removing and replacing screen for compaq cq60-615dx?

yeah im doing one tonight for a client

very easy mate

you need to prise off the front bezel around the screen, use a very thin flat head screwdriver or butter knive.

take your time try not to damage the plastic bezel, there will be lots of clips holding it in

once that is off

you simply unscrew the screws holding the screen in place

place some kitchen roll on the keyboard and lay the screen on the keyboard

you will see a ribbon cable and a power cable, disconnect them from the screen

buy a replacement screen, search google for the model of your laptop

most screens cost around 65 quid

in total it cost £88.70 for the screen + VAT and delivery

screen came next day

Simple reverse what you did

connect the 2 cables re screw the screen in and then put the bezel back on

bobs ya uncle, simple!

How to I open the laptop, remove the old keyboard and replace it with a new one

Not enough information to give you a complete guide, but most laptops require a top cover (in front of the hinges) to be prised off to reveal several screws which are holding the keyboard down (Dell, Toshiba, some HPs and cheaper Sony).
Other laptops (acer, asus, medion etc) have screws accessed on the rear of the laptop to release the top cover and keyboard.
Once you have access, note carefully how the keyboard ribbon cable is attached to the motherboard, as reconnecting can occasionally be awkward.

Water spillage on laptop, is it repairable ?

I would take it apart and see how far the coke got into the system but the crackling means it got in far enough... remember it's not about time it's about contact because a milisecond is to much time! I would take the hard drive out and test it with another laptop and hope it's not damaged and see if you're under warranty if not laptops are around 400 now so be thankful and remember around pc's cups with lids.

Amilo Pro V2010 base removal

The inverter is in the laptop screen, not the base.
1 remove the screw covers and then the screws surrounding the laptop screen
2 gently prise the screen bezel away from the screen, best done when the laptop is opened out almost flat
3 the inverter is at the base of the screen, gently unscrew and unclip the inverter from the LCD screen
4 take replacing the inverter to make sure all the leads are safely housed

5 replace screen bezel and away you go
