Re: have a paper jam near the exit

THe idea is to keep you from doing that.  If the paper is jamming inside the machine, it probably needs a new fuser unit.

My DC-2155 is showing a "misfeed" on the screenin the area af the feed tray, but there is nothing jammed in the feeder or anywhere else that I can see. I beleive it may be a sensor problem. Can...

Try opening and closing the machine doors.

Remove the cartridge and put it back in place.

If there is no foreign object, and no paper, and machine still does not work, then it is the sensor, and the machine must be taken apart to fix it.

Paper won't feed evenly

What I understand on this problem, it can be dirty feed wheels on one end.
It might be a paper tray that is bent more on one side, or hanging up on one side.
If it is a large roll that feeds paper, it is uneven presure on the paper causing the paer to go skewed.
If the paper is traveling up in the machine, the rollers in the back maybe the problem or the side door not closed all the way, causing some rollers to drive the papers and other rollers not touching the paper at all.

Try making prints or copies with the rear door open. If it does not jam your fixing unit (hot area) is functioning properly. With the rear door closed try again making copies or prints. If it jams it's most likely the exit rollers acting up.

1. I've seen the exit sensor break on these units and sometimes the drive gears wear and do not feed properly.
2. If using after market toner or refills this may also coat the exit roller with a film which prevents the exit rollers from feeding parper out by reducing the friction of theses rollers. Clean with fantastic untill cloth does not turn black.

Paper jam in fuser

Sounds like a timing jam, check paper supply, fanned, good quality, check and clean paper feed rollers.
Registration rollers clean?

If you are a tech, check and clean paper feed clutches, registration clutch. Check fuser for bearings, fuser drive, fuser roller cleaner or worn rollers.
Check exit sensor, is it out of place, is the actuator worn out, is the paper curling and coming off of the paper too early,

Try these, hope it is of some help.

Fax Machine keeps jamming

Depending on where the jam is, it could be the rollers at the exit. I have found that these rollers become sticky and cause intermitted jams. I suggest using methylated spirits to clean the black rollers where the paper would come out. You might have a few problems getting to them from the front so I would open up the back and see if you can get to them from there and clean the little grey rollers while you are there wont do any harm. :)
Careful you don't pop the black rollers out of position or you will get constant jams.
:) Good Luck

Paper jam inside

check inside the machine for a little black sensor flag that may be stuck.. It should be able to swing freely. There are two or three of them in various places of the paper path.

Brother 4100e paper jam

Can be tricky people usally damage the fuser rollers removing this jam with pliers/tweezers, it has concertined and stuck after fuser rollers and before exit rollers it will be stuck on the switch best bet is to dismantle properly and remove fuser then dismantle fuser and remove jam, another thing to be concerned about is why did it, three seneraros, Damp paper going threw fuser dries and crincles(use fresh paper from sealed packet), fuser is worn(have fuser replaced), just a bad bit of paper (just have fuser jam removed. Fusrr runs on 240v, covers break easy
