F6 error fault code
This is the Water tap closed. What that means is that the flow meter is not recording water entering the dishwasher, this can be a water tap turned off (suprisingly more common than you'd think, after new flooring or decorating has taken place),
water hose kinked or blocked, the dishwasher water soleniod valve defective.
Symptom: water inlet valve (WV1) is switched on and the water indicator (WI) is on (level reached).
1. Water tap closed during water inlet
2. Water inlet hose blocked
3. Water inlet valve (WV1) defective
4. Flow-meter (FM) sends too few / much pulses (less than 10 imp.in 10 sec.) Flow-meter counts wrong (or the sump is full in less than 30 sec. Causation: Hose felt down and slipped the disc of the valve. The effect is a displacement of the valve tappet).
5. Aquastop defective
6. Flow-meter defective
Hello, Without a model number, I can be of limited help. But the F07 fault on a whirlpool dishwasher is indicating a problem with the water intake flow meter. Check the connections at the meter, if good replace the flow meter.
Unplug the appliance.
Take it out of it's installed location
Remove the left side panel .
In the large plastic tank on the left side of the machine is the flow meter. It will have a 2 wire plug on it.
Pull the plug off and push it on again a couple times.
Make sure the connection is dry and tight.
Try the dishwasher.
If you receive the F07 fault again, replace the flow meter.
The dishwasher can't take on water. Check that the water inlet is properly connected, the stop tap valve is open and that water supply is otherwise available to the dishwasher. Also check for kinks or blockages on the water hose.
F6. means "Water valve (WV1) is switched on but flow meter (FM) senses no
impulses" (less than 10 impulses in 10 secs) and the water indicator (WI) is at a
low level Water Valve Closed. Water inlet hose blocked. Water inlet
valve (WV1) defective. Flow meter (FM) defective (leads to FM failure)
This error indicates a fault with the water flow meter. F7 means inlet flow meter malfunction Remove the left panel and check the flow meter, try to unplug it and plug it again. If not OK, change the part, If you have checked the sump filter at the bottom of the dishwasher, then close the door and turn on the power. Then hold the start button with the + and - buttons under the LCD display, until the drain pump starts. This should then reset the dishwasher.

f7 means a water flow meter problem. Either your dishwasher is not getting proper water pressure, or the flow meter is bad. Check to make sure you have good water pressure to the dishwasher, and then check that your water is coming in at a good flow rate. If both of these are ok, then replace the flow meter. If your house water pressure to the dishwasher is good, but your water flow coming into the dishwasher is slow, then your dishwasher water valve is probably plugged. Some valves you can take apart and clean out, and some you will need to replace. Good Luck, Appliance Specialists
