Aftermarket headlights for '01 stratus R/T Coupe

Looking for aftermarket headlights (not OEM replacement) and preferably HID or Projectors for my 2001 Dodge Stratus R/T Coupe but can only find sets for the sedan. Any help on where too look would be helpful and accepted.

I would try JC Whitney. They specialize in aftermarket parts for all vehicles and I can testify as to the quality of their parts--quality normally surpasses the quality of part you would buy at say Advance auto for example, while their JC's parts are less expensive. Never the less, the more you pay, the more you get generally, but JC Whitney also has great return policies and warranties, just be sure to read the disclaimer so you know exactly what to expect if you try to return purchased parts. I am an avid Jeep enthusiast and have purchased numerous performance and aftermarket parts and they have all met my expectations. I hope this helps. Also, JC Whitney has a huge online catalog that can be found at JC

SOURCE: How can i troubleshoot a thermostat in a dodge stratus 2006?

It is not possible to troubleshoot a thermostat. If your car is overheating, you need to take it in to an auto shop for a diagnostic check to see if anything is bad. If your car is overheating, I can guarantee you that you will need a thermostat and a water pump to fix the problem.

How do I clean the inside lamp haze from my 2000 buick regal gs?

Unfortunately, these headlight pods are sealed units, and there is no easy way to separate the lens from the reflector--at least, not if you want to put them back together again. If you are dead-set on trying to clean the inside of the lens, you can remove the pod from the car, pull the bulb, and use a rag moistened with window cleaner on a stick to try to clean the worst of the haze off the lights. However, you won't be able to clean the entire lens this way, only the areas that you can reach.
The preferred way to get your headlights nice and shiny again is to replace the headlight pods entirely. Aftermarket, i.e., non-GM pods are dramatically cheaper than ones you get from the dealership--I recently purchased a set of new OEM minivan headlight pods on eBay for $50, when the official GM replacement part cost $278 per side ($556 for a matched pair). Note that aftermarket parts may be made of thinner plastic and may not fit quite as well or last quite as long--but for the price, you can afford to replace them a bit more often.

Headlight left on warning not working, what should I look at?

Headlight on warning works through the radio and the Body Control Module (BCM). The BCM has an input from the lighting circuit and when it decides that the warning should turn on, it sends a class 2 serial data communications to the radio. The radio then sends a cime tone to the driver's front door speaker.

If by chance, you replaced the OEM radio with and aftermarket radio and did not install an interface module, you will be missing not only the headlight warning but many other warnings as well ( low oil / hot engine, etc.)

Hi I have a 2009 Saturn Outlook and I HATE to drive at night the headlights ****!! can I replace them to be stronger??

Hi, I have a 2009 Saturn Outlook and have the same problem. Part of the problem is that they have projector headlamps that do a great job of directing the light to the road but restrict a lot of light output. The solution is to upgrade to "HID" lighting. These cars come with the option from the factory but this can be very costly. I replaced my bulbs with aftermarket HID lights and I can see great! It is like driving during the daytime. I have tried many different brands of aftermarket hid's and have found this company to be the best for the money. Here is the website. , click on the "hid kits" tab, then on DDM Slim Ballast HID Kit 35W or 55W. Once on this page, go to the right of the page and choose the 55watt H11 bulbs, these are the ones that will fit the outlook. then choose your color, i chose 6000k becuase they are a nice crisp white and give off the most light. the higher the temperature the more blue or purple they will look. **make sure you also order the upgraded harness for the lights, GM uses such small wiring for the headlights now that you may have problems with only one light turning on without this kit. if you call them, they are very helpful and can help you with the whole process. hope this helps, this all costs under $100 compared to over a $1000 from the dealer.

HID headlights for esteem

There are retrofit kits for your car, but they're expensive. If you're needing better headlights I would look for a aftermarket high wattage halogen bulb. If you just want the cool look then Sylvania Silverstar bulbs are the closest low cost alternative. They're not the same as HID but they're close at a fraction of the cost. As far as HID in India, your best bet is looking on the Internet. Most HID kits that would fit your car are 200 to 400 dollars US. Good luck and don't forget to vote
