No oil on the blade of my saw

There is a vacuum diaphragm inside the saw that draws the bar oil out of the resevouir and onto the bar, if there is any leak at all in that vacuum system, it will not draw any oil to the bar. Also, the oil outlet at the bar may be plugged with saw dust, check that first.

First remove your bar and check oil grooves and holes are clear, use a thin-bladed screwdriver or bar groove scraper. Clean your chain, and jet out the oiler bar-feed hole in the saw body with compressed air if possible (even from a bike pump with a needle valve is good). Refit and hopefully problem solved, also try turning your oil feed adjust screw, if your saw has one, out 1/2 a turn or so.

Oil no longer lubricates the chain on saw groove and oil hole are clear

Sometimes saw dust and shavings block the oil port and track strip down the bar and chain there maybe a cover over the oil port remove this and clean carefully replace all remember to clean the bar put the chain on do not over tighten run the saw if there is no oil you may have damage to the oil pump this can happen if the saw was used with no oil or a blocked oil way some of the pumps will overheat causing damage hope this helps good luck

KEEPS TEARING TEETH OFF OF SAW BLADES

Saw blade is contacting the blade guide bearings or rectangular bushings/cool blocks. An 1/8" blade is tricky to use. Make some cool blocks from very hard wood the will contact a narrow blade without destroying the teeth the blade will become hot so use blade lubricant stick.

My 3516AVX is not oiling the chain, although the resevoir is filled.

can you verify the bar oil holes are clear?
is the breather on the oil tank working? air should be able to get in but not let oil out

can you verify the drum / sprocket is turning the pump worm gear ?

is the oil tank filter clean, not blocked, and oil line to pump clear ?

is the oil outlet passage to bar mount face clear ? if all of the above are ok then you have a faulty pump replace it and reassemble saw
refill oil tank and test

be sure to remove clutch assy turning it clockwise to remove it
it has a left hand thread

My saw barely uses half of the oil tank with a tank of gas when new it used almost all of it and even sometimes ran out

1. clean bar & saw - checking oil holes, groove on bar; oil outlet on saw - may be partially blocked - a fine wire may assist with careful clearing.
2. if cleaned replace bar/chain and test for oil flow.
3. drain oil and check if there is a filter, clean/replace filter and clean out tank.
4. see step 2
5. If still not flowing - check for manual adjustment of oil pump.(May need to be advanced)
The next steps depend on your own abilities and experience as to whether you want to further investigate or approach a reputable dealer to see about repairing or replacing oil pump and or associated oil line(depends on your brand/model etc).

When cutting small sparks appear. It looks as if

It sounds to me as though you have incorrectly set the blade guides, in particular the bearing behind the blade that prevents the blade's teeth from passing between the guide blocks. If the bearing is set too far back the set of the teeth will pass between the blocks and may cause sparks as the teeth are literally worn away. It won't cut well for long if that's the case. Most saws have a bearing on both the upper and lower guides that is adjustable behind the blade, so that is can lightly rest against the back edge of the blade and support the cutting path between the guide blocks.
It's hard to say much more without knowing what model saw you're using.
See possibly these responses for help adjusting your saw: here, & here.

I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue. If you need further assistance, please post back with a comment to this thread.
If I've managed to answer your question or solve a problem, please take just a moment to rate this post....thanks!

How do I change the blade on my Ryobi 10" table saw?

The manual is posted on line. Changing the blade does not require turning the saw over, blocks of wood or vice grips. The advice listed above is potentially damaging to your equipment.
