Flickering green light on power supply

I have a HP Pavilion a824n It has an issue like the a420n green light flickering on power supply and nothing coming on.

The same problem with my HP. The Power Supply is bad I tested it with another power supply and it works fine. The power supply is the part with the power plug in the back. Where the green light flickers. It takes 4 screws to unscrew. Do it with the power off/disconnected. The Unplug all your devices and the Mother board plug(s) maybe 2 connections on motherboard. Also if you have black SATA connections you need to buy the right ATX power supply with serial ata for the hard drive. You can also buy a tester from newegg for around 12 dollars.

    PS also make sure its set to 120volts for US. not 240volts Industrial power. If the red switch is set to 240 the machine wont boot.

HP Pavilion a 1020n desktop - green power supply light on back flickers \ pulses when power cord is in place, but system will not respond when the power on button is pressed.

just remove the ATX cable from the motherboard (24 pins connector coming from the power supply),the power cable to the HDD and the and the dvd drive and then connect the power and chekc whether the light stays on or flicker ,if it flickers then the power supply is Bad if not then there is a probelm with the motherboard

Hi,Well your issue could be as a result of a faulty screen or a disconnected screen Connector(Flex).once you confirm these,and it is still flickering, locate online the nearest Hp service center and visit them to get it fixed for you.

Green light behind motherboard blinking when power is connected

That is an indication that there is power to the motherboard. It normal but does not mean all is well with the PC. If your PC works fine, then there is nothing to worry.

PC won't turn on, blue light flickering, green light flickering

check your monitor's connection, its power and VGA connection to cpu, the cpu may be good but you just see black screen bec. your monitor remained off. please bring it to HP service center for more help
