When start the desktop, click on F8 and press enter on LAst Known Good Configuration. It will take you in the last configuration of the desktop.

you should have a recovery disk, just put it into the drive, restart the pc and hit F2 or Del to get into the bios, change the boot order to the CD/DVD save the settings and reboot the pc

    I want to reset my PC to factory settings and delete evreything on the hard disk before giving it for recycling, what is the best way to do that? The pc is an old DELL inspiron.


    The best way to do this is to format your disks (other than C:) and then use a Windows Installation Disc to format your C: partition.
