Kurzweil M1 digital piano is resetting (shutting down and turning on) on its own in the middle of playing.

You're correct, that's a power supply problem, but it may also be the power supply connector on the keyboard. If you have access to a voltmeter, check the power supply first.

Check and see if there is a switch on the foot pedal. Check the P-90 menu under footswitch to make sure it is set to sustain.

Hi, my key F3 (Fmin) has nonfunctional dynamic on my Kurzweil SP2XS. It is still in full loud, only when I really use minimum press - it is quiet (undertone - pianissimo). I never strike on this key more...

The keys have TWO contacts. One closes before the other as you press the key. The processor in the piano MEASURES the time it takes between these closures and uses that as a "key velocity" which is used to control the loudness much like an acoustic piano. When one of the two contacts associated with that key fails, then the key velocity is set to MAXIMUM. The actual failure of the contact can be MECHANICAL or just contamination. The contacts are actually CONDUCTIVE RUBBER "pills" that are pressed onto circuit board traces to complete the circuit when the key presses down on them. The pills are usually in flexible silicone rubber "domes" that also act as springs to help restore the keys when released. Accessing these contacts to clean them is NOT for the DIY person normally. One cleans the pills AND the circuit board GENTLY with 99% isoprophyl alcohol and Q Tips cotton swabs. Opening the piano takes great care and is best left to a repair shop unless one is electronically adept.

I've recently purchased a Roland foot pedal for my casio privia px-300 keyboard. When playing a note, even though the pedal is not pressed, the note sustains. When I press the foot pedal down, it cuts...

Sorry, but Roland uses the opposite sense switch. They use normally closed where Casio requires normally open contacts. SOMETIMES one can rewire the pedal internally, but you have to be mechanically and electrically inclined to do that.

Hi, i purchased yamaha fc15 sustain pedal yesterday. when i connected this pedal to my Roland E-09 keyboard through foot switch port, it activate Start/Stop button ( of arranger & song controls ) and...

The answer is NO... Roland uses the opposite sense switches on foot pedals... They use NIRMALLY CLOSED and your Yamaha is a NORMALLY OPEN switch.

SOMETIMES you can open these pedals and find that the pedal has the opposite sense switch available and you only have to unsolder and move one wire to make it a NORMALLY CLOSED pedal.

Kurzweil digital piano unpredictable voices and volume

The contacts of various switches and keys are likely dirty. They are often conductive rubber and need cleaning with 99% isoprophly alcohol and q-tip. Clean both the conductive rubber pill and th circuit board traces they contact.

Replacement Battery Problems Kurzweil Mk 152

Check the voltage provided by the cells. Each cell should be above 3 volts. Make sure they are installed with correct polarity and the contacts are making. Brand new cells CAN be bad and some holders may not contact properly.
