Dont know the reset code or anything about home security alarm sy

I recently moved in this property and they already had installed security alarm system by name ''Solution''. The Zone 5 is flashing, had alarm blowing which somehow was stopped by broken remote, but want that flashing to go away and also want the codes to arm or disarm or clear the memory as we cant rely on broken remote. Basically looking for manual.

Hi, Just a suggestion for you. Is this what you're looking for? Here are some quick searches that I've found online for Solution Alarm System User Guide:~

    Solution-8 Manual >

    Solution-6 Manual >

There's a default Master Code "2580" taken from Solution-6 Manual. I suggest you try both manuals to see if the system responds. It might not be the right manual itself.

If it does, then look into overriding Zone 5 to cut the false alarms.. or you might want to physical disconnect the wires and check the sensor device. When you disconnect, you'll have to put a small resistor and closed the port at Zone 5 cause most alarm system has a resistive voltage, maybe 5 or 12 VDC attached on-board.

If you dont know how to do that, then leave it. Cause it'll keep triggerring if you remove it without re-attaching the resistor. Basically, you need to get a vendor in to help you service or check all your Zone sensors before you can use it.

If that's not worth the hassle, look for the battery and plug out the positive (red cable?) and switch off the power plug. And STILL get someone familiar with the system to take a look, to properly de-commission the system. What I wrote is just a temporary solution to stop all the false triggering. Your propety would not be protected until you fix up the existing system or a new one.

    Good Day!

I need to re-program the remotes to my alarm. It is a prestige aps255a. Just to lock and unlock all the doors. To arm and unarm is already programmed.

Huh? Pressing the lock button arms the alarm AND locks the doors. Pressing the unlock button disarms the alarm AND unlocks the doors. If this is not happening either there is an issue with the wiring from the alarm to the car or, with the vehicle's door locks.

GE Simon - Reset Installer Code & Remove Sensors

I am sure you already guessed this but it appears someone has changed the default installer code. Using the default installer, dealer, or master codes defeat the purpose of a security system as most criminals know the default codes. The only way I know of to regain control of this panel is to reset it to factory defaults. This does mean that you will have to completely re-progam the system. I would document as much stuff as you can from the display before resetting it. If you don't have a copy of the installation manual I am providing a link below. Hope this helps.

I know you don't want to pay an alarm technition to solve your problem....thats why your here, but in this case, I dont recommend you do this yourself... Call an alarm specalist, Some of these alarm panels require specalized programming and specific access codes you won;t be able to get a hold of. All of them are different. The safety of you and your family is worth more than a $75.00 service call.
