Question about Brother HL-2030 Laser Printer

On power up all lights continue to flash

The manual suggest the machine be taken in for service, however there is no service station in Nigeria, I have also just changed the orint catridge with same result.

All lights flashing means a "service" error has occured which usually requires an engineer to fix.

However, if you press on hold the "GO" button the lights will stop flashing and the machine will light one or more of the other lights. Once you give this information I can tell you what the actual fault is.

Hi Mate,
i posted to another thread on here a while back about this its either a temporary problem where the printer has experienced some sort of "shock" that has put it into a stunned state and just needs switching off and leaving for 10 - 20 mins then plugging back in OR from experience the fuser unit is knackered and needs replacing.

here is a link to the brother site that gives the meaning of the lights, but as you already mentioned it means a service call.

http://welcome.solutions.brother.com/BSC/public/eu/gb/en/faq/faq/000000/000100/000070/faq000170_005.html?reg=eu&c=gb&lang=en&prod=hl2030_all&Cat=6

If it is the fuser unit thats knackered it can be replaced but refurbished units tend to be more expensive than the cost of a new printer..

hope this helps.

The headset(s) and the base station need to be re-sync.

Check the bottom contacts (base and headset) and let them sync (3+ minutes) OVER-NIGHT if the headset are low on battery.

This will sync the security code.

Troubleshooting steps If any of the troubleshooting steps listed below solve the problem, attempt to verify printer functionality (instructions listed below). If functionality is verified, no additional parts should be replaced.
NOTE: The printer's current firmware revision must be A.02.04 or higher for a new Service Station to work properly. If firmware is lower than A.02.04, download the newest available firmware before continuing with the remainder of this document.
      1. Turn the printer off, then on to verify error. If no error attempt to verify functionality.
      2. If the error appears or problems persist, continue with the remaining steps.

        5. Unplug the power cord from the printer.
      4. Manually move the Carriage assembly out from the Service Station area and check for obstructions (remove as needed).
NOTE: If you are unable to release the Carriage by the previous process, remove the right end-cover and locate the main Service station gear (as pictured below in Figure 1) and rotate it counter clockwise approximately four revolutions. The Carriage assembly should now be free from the Service station. Figure 1: Service Station Gear

Figure 2: Service Station flag correctly positioned
        bpp90134-2.gif
        1. If the flag is correctly positioned continue with Step 16.
        2. If the flag is not at a 45-degree angle, press in gently on the bottom of the gray and rotate the bottom of the flag to the right (toward the back of the printer) until the top of the flag clips into the tab on the Service Station. The flag should stay at about a 45-degree angle.
        3. Plug in the power cord and turn the printer on.
        4. If no error appears, attempt to verify functionality.
        5. If the error reappears continue with the remaining steps.

        7. Replace the Service Station assembly (refer to pg. 8-52 of the HP Designjet 500 and 800 Series Service Manual).
NOTE: The printer firmware must be upgraded to A.02.04 or higher for the new Service Station to work. The new Service Station does not have an Aerosol fan and older firmware will check for the Aerosol fan, thus causing another system error.

Panasonic TC-P50G25 sudenly stopped working the Red light flashes for 7 times and takes a pause, this continues

Its an error code that likely indicates a power supply problem.

Suggest you Google the model number with "7 blinks" "error codes" or "service manual".

Error code 21:13 restart the printer if the problem persists, call hp support

It all depends on the machine but typically all the 21 errors relate to the service station. this is the part to the right of the machine that "caps" the carriage and print heads when the carriage parks after a print. 13 refers to power cycling the machine to reboot it. If you need more precise info you will need to post the model and more info.

If a red light flashes for more than a few minutes, disconnect and reconnect the power cord.
Check the TV/VIDEO settings
make sure you have inserted the batteries correctly to remote control.
Try another channel to rule out of station trouble.
if the problem continues may be a power supply problem.
good luck ! please dont forget to vote if this suggestion is helpfull.

If working OK, probably means that the temperature alarm goes off because is getting hot the PC. I suggest to check why is that happening. All fans working OK? is the CMOS temperature alarm set too low? check your motherboard instructions booklet- It will tell you what the beeps mean probably in the last pages. Good luck
