Question about Car Audio & Video

Open Question

I have Necvox M5500 TFT colour display (5.5") in my car. Recently it is damaged and video not working at all. I found one IC is burned in PCB. I could not read the IC number properly being it is burned. The IC number starts 74 HC xxxx D, it's Philips made IC and on PCB it is printed IC4 and fixed near video connector socket. If anybody have the same display screen (Necvox m5500) please open the cover and give me the correct IC number so that I can buy from market and replace with old one.

Phone + Water = Death Most cases of liquid damage cause the phone to die. Replacing the parts of the phone usually exceeds the price of a brand new one. I can only wish you the best of luck in repairing the phone.

There is a permanent broad coloured stripe down the centre of the screen - how to get rid of it?

LCD display may have moisture on tinoxide which can be burned off in low humidity room. LCD tft may be leaky, which can be burned in by standby for a few weeks. Video output semiconductor IC may be needed burn in for a week. Most of these problems are due to moisture in the air, and lack of use of the TV. Have power on 24/7 may solve the moisture problem.

I HAVE ONE AIWA CXNS32HR ,NOW I AM FACING SOME PROBLEM WITH THIS SYSTEM ITS DISPLAY IS SHOWING STANDBY AND SELF DEMONSTRATION NO OTHER FUNCTIONS ARE WORKING, ANYBODY CAN HELP ME

you should check the voltage of "O-POWER" on main board (PCB Front and side), and stress "STD-BY" there should be 5 volts when the power button is turned on. if no response, the damage was in power system regulators or the EEPROM IC with the code "D780228GF" or D780226GF ". you have to replace the IC or other parts in the regulator. transistors and diodes.

Some unit required the remote control to access play mode. Have you try it using the remote? If you don't have one, order one from Ebay. They go for around $5 to $10. Goodluck.
