Windows has a problem sometimes recognizing this drive. hook it up with the USB , then go to My Computer , then if the drive is not showing click the SEARCH tab on the My Computer file manager window. the drive should show up .. find it double click .. then go into the Music folder .. drag and drop your songs there ... make sure all songs are ID3 tagged first with Artist song name ect. . enjoy .. i lovew this little player .. scrap the earbud phones that came with it and get some good sony headphones .. i use the MDR-G57's loving it .. excellent sound

to add a music folder if it got deleted go to the drive , open it up where you see movie folder ect .. right click any open area in the window and select NEW , then folder .. name it MUSIC .. this is where all your songs will go .. and in addition you can make seperate folders , Christian Music folder ect .. good luck

HOW DO I UPLOAD MUSIC TO MY MP3 PLAYER

Hello Elizabeth,

To transfer music to your player, connect your Coby MP600 to your computer using the supplied USB cable.

Once connected, your computer will automatically recognize the player as a Removable Disk.

??To open the player to view files, double-click the icon that appears.

Once you have opened the player's folder, simply drag and drop files to the player as you would a floppy disk.

??Copy music files to the root directory.

??Copy movie files to the "MOVIE.DIR" folder

??Copy photo files to the "PHOTO.DIR" folder

??Copy text files to the "TEXT.DIR" folder.

After copying the files, disconnect it properly and you are done.

I hope this helped you.

You can rate my answer if you appreciate my help.

Thanks!

I have a Coby mp601. When I go to Open the Players folder there is no Music.dir only dir for Movie, Photo and Text. How can I fix this?

You dont need a music folder, there is a sample song already on the player, you can put your music directly on the player (not in any folder). By default, there is no music folder, if you use the Coby Media Manager software, it will auto sync folder selections for you however.

I have movie, photo and text.dir but NO music.dir on coby 620 MP3 player. WTF? It's brandnew, Xmas gift.

I had the same problem. Plug the player into your usb on your computer. Bring up "my computer" and find the letter drive of your player. All the existing folders (movie.dir, photo.dir, etc) should show. NOW, while your still in this folder, use your toolbar on the top of your screen to click on "file" and then select "new folder". Carefully type in MUSIC.DIR, click enter and you have now created your own. I did this and it seems to work as it should. It is weird that mine didn't have a music.dir folder either! Good luck!

Mitone MITMP25 plays only videos in MTV format, so you should use the software included to convert all videos into MTV format before you can play those. See page 21 in user manual :-)
