Question about Intel D865GVHZ Motherboard
This is a generic audio driver incompatibility. Go to control panel->Device Manager. Find your audio device and right click and go to properties. Go to the driver tab and click rollback driver. If this button is greyed out look for the audio drivers for your OS here: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/SearchResult.aspx?lang=eng&ProductFamily=Desktop+Boards&ProductLine=Intel%C2%AE+865+Chipset+Family+Boards&ProductProduct=Intel%C2%AE+Desktop+Board+D865GVHZ
Before you install the drivers you download here, do an uninstall of the device. This makes sure that there is no conflict in installed drivers. After that install CCleaner (it's Free) and clean both the computer of all junk files and registry errors.
If this doesn't fix the problem I'd restore back to a point when you didn't have SP2.
