SOURCE: When one of my students went to stat plot, they

Hello,
Press [2nd][MEM][2: Mem Mgmt/Del][1:All] and scroll down to see if a system variable or other entity that is needed for graphing may have been archived. A variable that is archived has an asterisk next to it on the left.
To unarchive it press ENTER when the arrow reaches it.
You may be able to draw your graphs. It you are unable, I suggest you reset the Ram: Press [2nd][MEM][7:Reset][1:All Ram][2:Reset] [ENTER]. Press [CLEAR] to erase the message and restart the statistics.

Hope it helps.

SOURCE: TI 83 when hit Stat Plot, get error archive

I don't care how many times you ask this question, your the customer. Since you already graded 4 thumbs up on my last answer on your previous posting, I will not duplicate the answer here.
But, I admire you for teaching, and I know how important it is. This is why, I would like to talk to you about an issue that is very important to the success of your student. Using the Ti 83 STAT program is nice but, it is not always correct or the right way to do it. The issue, I would like to present to you is this question of rather something is discrete, or continuous. It may not seem that important, but it is. Unless your students can answer that question correctly may determine on how well they do, and how close and accurate they are to the correct solution. Unless the person who develops the software is aware of this question because, to them everything may be discrete or continuous eventhough it is not, and will lead them to developing flawed software.
See what it is, is a matter of percentiles, or what percent is on one side or what percent is on the other side. It is not the same for both, discrete or continuous. Now, this may be hard to see but, if you examine data while having both of these question in your mine it may help you. See if I'm laying down gold on a circuit board, and I don't have that question answered, I may think I'm doing this good and in fact, I am no where close to where I think I am. This could be a costly mistake, and a mistake your students may not have to suffer because, with your guidance they were aware and able to answer this question.
See education is king, and a beatiful thing to have.

SOURCE: I am trying to do a box plot with a TI-84 Plus

Hey. I had the exact same problem as you and all I could do was reset the settings to the default settings on the calculator. All you have to do is turn the calculator on, his 2nd (it should say mem right above it). Then click reset then RAM.
