SOURCE: How can I can the security code on the key pad for

You can try reprogramming the keypad. Locate the smart/learn button on the back of the motor unit near where all those white wires go. Press and immediately release it and then walk over to your keypad and key in a 4 digit code and press enter.

I do think either the battery is bad or the keypad has just quit working.

How do I check a wireless garage door keypad, to see if it is transmitting?

These remotes don't loose the programming code when a battery goes dead, most likely the remote or the board on the opener went bad, do any other remotes work? You can take the remote to an auto parts store and test it there. (They have a tester for key fobs)

I bought a house with an old (1980's) Sears garage door opener. I have two Stanley remotes that were in the house at the time of purchase. The opener works fine at the hardwired button in the garage but I...

On the remotes put switch #1 in either position and match up switches 2 through 10 to the dipswitches on the motor unit. There is a good possibility your receiver has quit working.

Need device to operate more remote controls

The memory is limited and I think it is about 5 remotes including the keypad but there are older openers that are backwards compatible and will work with remotes with 9 position dipswitches. One model I am familiar with is the Liftmaster AD 800. You will have to call around to companies that handle Chamberlain and Liftmaster to see if they still have one. They will work with unlimited remotes as long as the switches are set exactly alike.

I have LiftMaster garage door model 41A3039 and Chamberlain wired keypad--how do I change the keypad code to open the garage door

To program the keypad, first unplug the garage door opener from the electrical outlet. Next remove the nameplate from the console that the keypad plugs into and locate the program/operate switch. Flip the switch to program. Next enter your desired four-digit PIN number into the keypad. Slide the switch back to operate and plug the garage door opener back in. The keypad should be programmed.

Garage door opener

I was having a problem with the remotes. Program one remote, and the other stops working and vice-versa. I found the solution to be as follows: Using 61LM single-button remotes for Lift-master WhisperDrive (belt drive) garage door opener, I set the dipswitches (find them by removing battery replacement cover) to identical settings in both remotes. Set the first dipswitch to the neutral (0) setting. Next -- and this is the important part -- press the learn button on the main door opening unit, and, while the small LED light is lit, press the button on ONE of the remotes. DO NOT REPEAT ON THE SECOND REMOTE. Upon doing this, I found that BOTH remotes at last worked. I then went on to program a keyless entry pad, which was accomplished by again pressing the learn button on the main unit, and then entering the number sequence I had chosen for my entry code on the keypad, and pressing Enter. Both remotes continued to function and the keypad functions as well.
