I bought the system in 1994. Have no buyers guide. Is there any warranty on this system. It is a three ton unit. Thank you

Dear friend!
For any A/c unit the maximum warranty is 7 years and also only for compressor. Hence take a repairman to service and attend for breakdown calls by enrolling an AMC (Annual Maintenance Contract) with him.
Hope helpful tips?

How do i change out front wheel bearings

Compare to a rear wheel drive care, the bearings are totally different from the tapered style from the old days. Those where much easier to remove and don't require special tools. FWD bearings have high temp grease which is thicker and doesn't breakdown into a soupy state when it gets hot.

  • You'll need an air hammer and the correct sizes of metric sockets
  • You need to remove the CV joint nut which is torqued at least 120lbs psi on the spline part
  • You'll need a long 1/2" breaker bar for leverage
  • You'll also need a 1/2" torque wrench
  • At least a 10 ton hydraulic bench press and corresponding flanges to push out the old bearing
  • If you have a bearing tool you might get away without a press
  • Must have factory manual with torque specs
  • If you don't have all of the above mentioned tools then I'd suggest to forget the idea doing it on your own, you'll need tons of power just to start the bearing out of the wheel bearing housing (carrier).

Need info for RUDD upflow oil furnaces

Contact your nearest Ruud DISTRIBUTOR, usually The Noland Company, and ask them if they could go into the historical documents and print out or send you the files for the wiring, spec's and parts breakdown. From the model number, that unit is rated for 3 tons of a/c. You can find a 3 ton coil that will fit in the space and get a straight cool condenser of 3 tons cooling and swap thermostats so it brings on the furnace and fan in heat and the condenser and fan in cooling. Or just add a simple White - Rogers model 444 for the cooling. Ron
