Have you tried manually pairing the sensor to the display.
Press and hold the Mode 1 Button (Bottom Right) until SYNCH RESET starts flashing on the display then turn the wheel till the display returns to normal.
I this doesn't work then let me know as you may need to reset the wheel size.

I had this problem as well. What I found was that the transmitter path from the magnetic sensor to the computer is very narrow, a 15 degree cone. Reposition your computer to fall within this cone. It should pick up the signal.
