Question about Epson Printer
I have no idea what this icon means, it looks like a sheet of paper wrapped up in a spring. the computer is not mine it's my bosses so not at all familiar with it. the computer seems to send the work to the printer, when you check on the printer's tasks it says that the doc is printing but in the real world it's not.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

SOURCE: R1800 printer problem
I fixed the problem, the PW and Ink Mark sensors needed cleaning. I was able to access and remove both sensors after removing the printer housing, and moving the print head to the far left. There's enough space to unscrew the cover for the sensors, and unplug them with needle nose pliers and a couple fingers, clean them both, dry them, re-install, etc.. all is well now after some re-alignment procedures with the epson factory service program.

Rollers may be worn out and not properly grabbing paper or a gear may be broken. You should be able to inspect by lifting cover to feeder and watching as paper is pulled through.

I would move the printer to another computer. See if the problem follows. I have seen the issue a few times with issues in normal.dot but also in other office applications.
Problem I'm fighting with on my 1720 is its printing extra pages between pages. basically print a 5 page document and get an 8/9 page final with the extra blank pages. Think its a user error but could be machine related. going to try it on another PC and see what happens.

It's time for a PM (preventative maintenance) visit. The paper separation pad and the pick up roller are worn and need replacing.
