Hello YaYa!
If you still have you machine you might try the following.
Your described problem may be one of two problems. Let's start with the easier solution first. In the DCC 1200 there is a filter "stick or column" in the left rear. Pull it out and remove the clogged carbon filter(s) that are in there. Shine a light into the receptacle and remove the debris in the bottom. It is likely that this is causing the problem with you machine needing to be started on multiple times. See if this solution works. If it does, you might run 8 cups of water and 4 cups of vinegar through to help decalcify the units plumbing. Do this once or twice and then rinse with at least one pot run-through of clean water. If this works then you are good to go.
Next, if this does not solve your problem we can do the following: unplug the unit and lay it on its back. You will need a #10 torx driver (hardware store if you don't have one) to remove the bottom cover plate. There are 4 torx screws holding it on. When removed, you will find 2 orange hoses. Carefully attempt to remove the left hose without splitting. I used a eyeglas screwdriver to loosen it up. If it splits, just cut off the split and stretch it to reconnect when time comes. As you look into the hose you will find a little black valve inside as well a some gunk. Clean it all out with a fine wire as best you can. Rinse well. Attempt to reconnect the hose back onto the pipe. Slip the pipe clamp back into place. Replace the cover and screws and you should be good to go again. This is not as daunting as it may seem. You can do it. :o) Good luck! If this answer helps, please leave positive feedback for me. Much appreciated. Regards, NormanZ

The coffee pot turns itself off immediately after brewing a pot of coffee.

The machine is designed to shut off after the brewing cycle after a period of time which you can manually set anywhere from 0-4 hours. Check your setting to make sure that it is set for a reasonable amount of time for you. We have the user manual at the link provided: DCC-1200 Manual. If you run into more issues with the auto off there might be a problem with the board in your machine. If that is the case you will have to call Cuisinart directly to get a repair auth for the machine.

My 12 cup cuisinart coffee pot keeps shutting off

I tried a solution someone posted on this site back in Dec and it worked, give it a try: "I called the company about the "shutting off after a brewing cycle" problem and they had me turn the dial to "auto off" and set the time to two hours. You do this by holding down the "hour" button until it blinks, and then press it again until you get the desired hours that the warming plate will be on. Hope this helps."

Help, My comericial coffee machine is making 2 pots

Hello. I do not see a VPR manual with automatic functions, so your unit is not a VPR. Either way, it sounds like you have a scale build up on your level probe, causing the machine to over brew, until it can "see" the water again. This would require taking the top off, locating the probe, unplug please, remove by pulling out, annd cleaning the part that sits in the water. The other thing is you accidentally changed the time setting, here is a link to the manual,
http://www.bunn.com/pdfs/commercial/manuals/10179.0000.pdf

use the instructions to reset the whole time cycle on page 6, setting batch size. Then lock the timer to prevent future mishaps. If this is not your manual, but you have a Bunn unit, go to www.bunnomatic.com, and you can find the manuals to the left side of the screen.

Hope that helps, and thank you.
