The support arm on the bottom of kenmore front loading washer broke it threw the machine so hard off baoance that a chunck of the plastic drum was broken out at the top of the cylander. My husband lued those pieces back into place and replaced both support arms, leveled the machine but still bangs when final spin gets going wasn't sure if top springs may have streched when support broke or is rear bearing on drum amy need replacsed what do you think

Washer making noise when on spin mode

Washer may not be level.
Loads may be too large.
Sometimes a smaller load will send all of the clothes to one side and it may make a pounding noise.

Check to make sure that your machine is level, then wash a smaller load to start and then wash a larger load. Good luck!

Out of balance washing machine

yea these things are a mother to get level. And if you get them right, a wood floor will settle under there heavy wieght. I found that after the third releveling . The last time i set all the screw adjusting feet to 35 inch pounds after initial truing. It has been good now for 18 months. One more thing, they have cast ceramic "frames" around the nylon drum that wont take too much abuse. Be sure its level before you cause serious damage.

Pounding noise after wash and final spin

  • The spin bearing or basket drive may be worn or seized. These components allow the inner tub to spin freely inside the outer tub. When this is the problem, you usually hear a loud sound during the spin cycle. Call a qualified appliance repair technician.

Remove the bottom panel, it is held on by two screws, and make sure the foam block and shipping brackets are removed. My installer left them in.
