SOURCE: my brand new h2o mop

bought it a few years ago - I used it a few times and it was fair but did leae a lot of water on the floors. My wife had wanted it as it was supposed to be a miracle device, but she had some health issues and not able to do heavy housework. She is better now and decided to try this miracle device she had wanted so bad - so we took it out and no steam - so this would be it's 3rd use and it's was dead. I'm a bit of a tinkerer so decided to take the thing apart/clean the nozzles etc per the troubleshooting guide. Well, none of the obvious/accessable nozzles were clogged, and the filter seemed to pass air and water ok (probably does have to be changed due to time vs uses. Anyway, took the unit apart and ended up having to take the pump motor apart - there is a little nozzle/connecter on the back of the motor that passes the water into the heating chamber. cleaned that with a pin - put it back together, and tons of steam shooting half way across the room. So - she did the floors, they are wet but clean. Bottom line - does an ok job but leaves a lot of water behind, and it appears the internal nozzles can be a problem, and not something the average householder would want or be capable of fixing. (they do say you can try using WD-40 in the unit to clear nozzles - not sure how it would get through to the pump nozzle, but maybe this would work ??
Anyway - may end up buying some more filters as we will want to get a few more uses out of this thing for our $100 bucks, but will stay away from them in the future (go back to the wet swiffer - does about the same job but much less cost and hassle).

It could still be blocked, not totally blocked but enough to keep the steam from coming out as strong as it should.

My H2O mop will not shoot out any steam.

This sounds like a water supply problem and maybe be plugged in a part of the system if you have enough water in the reservoir.

How to get steam out Clogged h20 mop

Put vinegar in it and let it sit for several hours. Then turn it on to heat the vinegar. It should start to sputter and you may see some material ejected. This is good. Now dump out the vinegar and fill with water, make steam and let it push out any more material that caused the clog. You may have to do this several times in order to get the vinegar smell out.

My h2o mop won't steam. How do i fix it?

If your H2O mop will not steam:
1. Ensure you have followed the operating instructions.
2. Ensure you have followed the troubleshooting instructions.

If the unit fails to produce steam:
3. Switch off the power at the outlet.
4. Look at the water reservoir. Inside you will see a flexible tube with a cone on the end. Tilt the unit or give it a gentle shake to submerge the cone in water.
5. With the cone submerged, switch on the power supply and follow the normal instructions. The unit should produce steam as normal.

Note: Unless the cone is submerged in water, the unit will not steam.

The water tank is getting really hot, steams come out the sides of it but no steam is coming out the bottom.

I was having the same problem. No steam out the bottom. I took the whole thing apart and cleaned it...inside and the mop heads. I now get water to the heads but steam is still coming out the sides of the unit and leaking. I took it apart again and this time had my husband look at it. He found a tube with a spring in it...the spring had punctured the side of the tube and was leaking inside the machine! I am really upset by this as the machine never really worked right from the beginning but I really did not know it was not supposed to work this way. Now the machine is over a year old. I will be calling tomorrow and complaining but am not very optimistic that they will do anything and from what I have been reading will NEVER buy another one!
