SOURCE: Mastercraft compressor - one pancake type tank ... need pressure

You do not need to use factory replacement switch. Mos t universal pressure switches are set to shut off at 120-130 psi. You will need to check the placement of the unloader valve (1/4 line from check valve) and the quantity of ports as some switches have only one port and others have 3-4. Check ebay for good match and low price. Good Luck

SOURCE: How are the valve plates seated on an 8 gallon

the velves are called "reed velves" look from under the head at the velve block as if you were the piston, as the piston gos down it pulls (open)the inlet velve (but the out let velve is held closed by spring presher) and on the way up it (pushes closed on the inlet velve) and pushes the out let velve open so air can be pushed into the air tank,,,has this helped you? they are held in place by light spring presher and maybe fasend by a bolt?

I think you are going to need to replace your regulator.I think true value and ace hardware handle mastercraft so you can give them a try for parts.

I have a mastercraft compressor with LCD display its 11 gallon,it runs up to about 70 psi and will not go higher but keeps running, any ideas.

You either have an air leak somewhere or you have a damaged valve in the valve body. You can check for leaks using a spray bottle with a dishwashing detergent/water mix. Spray the mixture on connectors and look for bubbles. Don't forget to check the tubing coming from the compressor head and the regulator. If you find no leaks (you need to check carefully), you might need to remove the compressor head and check to see if the valves in the valve body are damaged. My Campbell-Hausfeld compressor did the same thing and I had to replace the valve body.

How do i find parts for my mastercraft model no:NS563 air compressor?

I find nothing for Mastercraft but boats.
I suspect your compressor is a common (Chinese) manufactured compressor as most. Probably uses common parts. If you know what part you need I'd search the www for local parts reseller (like Granger see link below) and take the part in. Grainger Industrial Supply MRO Products Equipment Tools
Bill, sells a book, but also has a good troubleshooting guide. Troubleshooting Your Compressor

What's wrong with my oiless air compressor

Sounds like the reed valve or valves in the head failed. When you unbolt the head you will see a thin piece of metal that is the valve assembly. If it is not all one piece it is broken and needs to be replaced.

Turn on frecuntly

If it is restarting that frequently you have an air leak somewhere. First check the drain valve on the bottom of the tank. If that's closed do the following to find the leak: You should remove the cover on the manifold where the guages are and get a spray bottle with soapy water in it. Let the compressor run until it shuts off then unplug it so it won't keep restarting while your working. Spray the soapy water on things like the copper line from the pump to the tank, the pressure regulator, guages and around the tank drain valve. You are looking for bubbling from an air leak. Make sure it's from a leak and not just boiling the solution off as parts of the compressor will get quite hot while it's filling the tank. Whatever is leaking has to be tightened or replaced.

My mastercraft aircompressor kit runs good but does not hold air

Check for leak through any of the sources in the tank , if so there will be no collection, you must observe for air noise hiss to identify the place of leak.Plug all the leaks and try, check on drain taps, pressure cut off switches or any leak on the tank.

sounds like a bad or broken valves in the head. crankcase needs a vent which is sometimes a small hole drilled into the oil fill plug and will normally blow some air out the vent while it runs

Dewalt compressor not filling with air

if you do not have any air leaks and it is a oil less compressor than it is most likely the piston seal is wore out. if it is an oil compressor that it is likely a flapper valve
