i was installing power dvd and after that everything failed my dvd/cd_rw is not recognized by my os. i tried to ghange but it was not possible. i also tried to update it but was in vain.it displayed a error massage Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19)

Go to device manager, remove your DVd writer, restart your PC. It should work.
