This indicates that you have a defective cyan ink cartridge. It needs to be replaced.

Cannot receive fax. It goes into memory. LCD reccomends new B-CRT regarding my Canon PIXMA MX310 printer . No problem sending fax, copying or printing.

B-CRT is just asking for a new black cartridge, fax will not print until it's replaced so you don't get a partial fax that you can't get back after printing.

Hi, I got a message: received in memory - recommend new b-crt

The b-crt is the black ink cartridge, when you put in a new one, it will print the fax for you.

Goi to

put "recommend a new c-crt" in the question box. Select the ERROR LCD: RECOMMEND NEW C-CRT answer and follow the instructions to clear the cyan cartridge error. This should take care of the problem. Let me know if this doesn't work. Thanks.

Fax on mx310 canon

It's recommending replacement of the color cartridge. The part number needed is the CL-41, or the CL-51 which is the high capacity cartridge.
