Question about HP Compaq nx9105 Notebook
Laptop runs slow
Checked system info - shows processor running at 701 mhz
Alot of times the processor speed will not show correctly immediately after booting. Give it a few minutes and then check again to see if it has changed.
As far as being slow, check what all is running in the background and disable anything that is not needed. For me that meens everything except my anti-virus software.
You can check what is running by going to the run menu and typing in msconfig. It is normally safe to uncheck everything in the startup tab except your AV). Then go the the services tab and put a check mark in the "hide all microsoft services" after that is done you can also disable in there.
Hope this helps
