Need software to download for an Ideaworks long distance WiFi Antennae. Need the drivers

You shouldn't need drivers. All you need to do is plug it in, go to your laptop, go to the bottom right of your machine and click on the wifi section

How can I get a wire less connection on my dell, latitude c800 it only show dial up options?

It's possible that there is no wifi antenna.
Go to Dell.com and then select the support page, let it scan your laptop to see if there are any drivers that need updating. If there is a wifi update - download & install it. If the scanner tells you that there was no wifi antenna then get a USB wifi antenna & the software to run it.

I assume you're running Windows 7 or 8. In general, you can't uninstall wifi--but you can certainly turn off your antenna (usually a switch on the side or front of the laptop) or you can tell windows to forget about a particular network.

From the sounds of it, you probably did one of the two and now you cannot connect to the Internet.

If you want explicit instructions, I need to know which version of Windows you're running (XP, Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8).

Wifi problems v3-771

Inside most laptops, there is a WiFi Antenna. I once also had an issue with my laptop allowing me access, and then flicking off again. So every time I tried to use a program called "Steam" I would be disconnected from the servers. Inside the laptop, there is a wire that is attached to the WiFi receiver, that gets plugged into your laptops motherboard, If it is loose, just disconnect it completely, then plug it back in. If the antenna is warm, or hot. That means it is burnt out, and will continue not to work unless it is properly cooled. You CANNOT cool a WiFi antenna, so it is best to either search the web, and buy a new WiFi antenna that is the same model and brand as the one in your laptop, or just buy a LAN/Ethernet cable and play like that.
*NOTE - When you first buy a Ethernet cable, the laptop WiFi antenna must be removed, otherwise the laptop will switch between the two, and will make you periodically loose internet connection. Also, the computer will still (not as much) continue to disconnect, and reconnect for a while. Roughly 8-10 days, and then everything should smooth-en out. Hopefully this helps you!
