well you sort of answered your own question..You need a timer most likely, reason why it's not heating up could be because it's stuck in cool air cycle

Our daewoo dryer model # DWRWG5413RC is burning our clothes and leaving marks all over them and i only put it on normal dry setting which is medium heat

You element is getting to hot. That can be caused from lint buildup in discharge going outside you home. Typical in cold months caused from humidity hot air hitting cool.

I have a lg gromm dryer and it dosn't get hot when drying why?:

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
I suspect that either the heating element is malfunctioning or the control board is. Sorry but either will mean an engineer's visit ;-0(
Sorry again,
Good luck,

Dryer will not heat up

A faulty heating element, bad wiring, or plugged exhaust vent. Also in the venting is a flap that closes when dryer heats and opens when it cools, the flap can get stuck or the actuator that moves it can become faulty

The cool light on the lg is on all the time. It is only actually cooling when it is flashing. You might have a blown thermostat. Call a tech and have him/her check it out.
