Red ring of death?
If you did something to your x-box like a mod that microsoft doesn't allow or was detected when you connected to their on-line site it will render your x-box unusable until you take it to someone who can change your x-box back to the factory set up.

Your TV is giving you a code, something is faulty in the system, usually 2 blinks of the red light indicates, Load on power line is shorted. I also would check the bulb also to make sure it doesn't need replacing.

What color is the power light when the system shuts off?

Red: If the power light is red, or flashing red, when the system turns off, then the system's battery needs to be charged.

Blue: If the power light is blue when the system turns off, then there appears to be a problem with the system and it will need to be repaired.

I understand you have replaced the battery... make sure its a genuine nintendo battery and charge. Also the port could be damaged or the ac adapter... take a good look at both for damages.
The port should not wiggle on the DS and should be solid.

Screen black. Power light on unit flashes red slowly. Power light on switching adaptor power supply flashed green slowly.

Sounds like the battery might be low which would cause the red flashing light and dark screen. Let it charge for a little bit then try turning it on again. If it still does it with the power supply plugged in, make sure there isn't a lens cover on it, and switch modes or try getting into the menu to see if you can get anything to come up. If that still doesn't work then it sounds like there might be a problem with the camera.

If the orange recharge indicator light blinks while the system is plugged in and charging, then it is likely that the battery is not installed properly.

If you have ensured that the battery is installed properly but the orange light still blinks, check to make sure that the battery is a licensed by Nintendo. The only licensed Nintendo DSi battery will have the model number "TWL-003" (Nintendo DSi) or "UTL-003" (Nintendo DSi XL) and will display Nintendo's logo.
