SOURCE: meter reading
2 ways to check the meter.
press the user tools button on the op panel. on the screen press counter. you can either view the counter on the screen, or press print counter, and it will give you a hard copy.
the 2nd way is to look behind the front cover, probably behind a piece of tape, on the right side, about half way down.

The transfer belt is located on right side of the machine. When you open the duplex unit if you have on the machine which can be opened by the pull plug which is located on the right- front corner of the duplex unit and then you have another pull plug on the same location with which you will open the right door of the copier. Inside on the side of the opened door it has an black case on which has attached an brown belt on the top of the black case has an lite green colored pulling plug which has to be pulled up and then you can pull up the black case and remove from the machine than you will see that the brown belt can be removed and under the belt has a black seal on which has 6 screw's open it and inside you will see than a lot of toner has been loaded remove it with vacuum cleaner or empty the case in some bag or something and then repeat the procedure clockwise and turn on the machine and the problem is solved.
If this can't help you than better is for you to call a techinican

sc320 on the Lanier 5635 is a laser unit error code. Often if you power cycle the machine (turn it off with the orange power switch on the left side of the copier, wait a few seconds, then turn it back on) the code will clear and the copier will resume normal operation. If the error code comes back or doesn't clear, you'll probably need to replace either the entire laser assembly or the polygon mirror motor inside the laser unit. These are best done by a professional -- contact your local Lanier service company if the problem persists.
