HOW DO I SET UP MY KENWOOD MINIDISC RECORDER

A MiniDisc recorder would plug into your stereo system just like a regular old cassette recorder would. Line out from deck to line in/play on receiver/amplifier and Line In from deck to "record" / tape line out from amplifier/receiver.

Insert MiniDisc, select Source and you should be ready to hit 'Record' and then 'Play' to start recording.

DEAR SIR/MADAM WHEN I TRY TO RECORD MY VOICE VIA MICRO PHONE SINGING WHILE THE CD MUSIC TRACKS ARE PLAYING I COULD NOT RECORD THAT TO THE MINI DISC.PLEASE ADVISE ME HOW COULD I CONNECT IT DIGITALLY

It is much easier to use an analog mixer and microphone thru the mixer. I would plug the microphone into the mike input on the mixer and then the Karaoke machine to stereo LINE inputs on the the Mixer, then Mixer Output or Tape Output on the mixer to analog LINE IN on the MiniDisc recorder.
Let me know if you need more info.

What does utoc error mean on a Kenwood mini disc player

Well, what it means is

TOC errors often mean the recording head/optical block is cooked. A cleaner might work, but often it's the end of the MDR.

Are you sure the battery is correctly (fully) charged? Try removing the battery and running on (only) the charger.

try cleaning the lens with a minidisc lens cleaner.

open the unit and check the laser position - it should be all the way to the left. that's where it should start to read the disk.

Did any midi sized stereos have minidisc players?

Very few - sony made a couple of lovely units which were very expensive. Check out the details of all MD decks and recorders at the minidisc.org web site which has manuals and repair manuals available for free download along with a lot of information on most of them.

Kenwood MD plays ok but recordings fail to play; U TOC error?

Without a decent Table Of Contents, your MiniDisc will NOT work, as you've found out. Does it matter what brand of MD you use? I would record it at "1X" and NOT 4x speed too. Try erasing a blank minidisc first and then shut off the unit and then turn it back on and see if the TOC works. Try adding a title, then turn it off and back on. Then try the CD to MD.

I have a Portable Minidisc Recorder MZ-N505 But only have a Mac. is there anyway i can sink it to my Mac?

Yes. Use the Mac version of RealPlayer instead as it has NetMD support (and IMHO is better than clunky old SonicStage).

Kenwood KA-72B Stereo Receiver HELP NEEDED.

Why not plug the cassette directly into the CD recorder? Are they trying to achieve some eqalization change? If not, then this should work. It's all analog at tape level.
