Check for a blown fuse. then check for a bad pto switch and then check your circuit board ( i am leaning towards this )

Husqvarna yth 170 problems when engage blades clutch nothng happens

On the 170 there is an electrical clutch that enables the blades to engage. This of course is an important safety feature.

If the operator is not sitting in the seat the switch located beneath the seat will not actuate. It is possible that the weight of the operator is insufficient to activate the switch. Other possibilities are the connection to the switch has become disengaged, or the switch has failed.

There are other possibilities of why the blades do not engage but I would evaluate the seat switch first and the relay (operator presence relay) that the seat switch activates second..

Blades won't engage on my toro ss 5000 zero turn mower

for any ride on machine that the blades don't engage id start at looking at occupancy seat switch , these are most times the culprits then if that's ok I move on to the actual engage switch and then on to clutch as last element

don't forget that past 2013 mfg machines operator must be in seat and weight over 80 lbs , the clutch pedal must be depressed and transmission not in reverse to engage the blades on a consumer grade lawn tractor (thank the CSB for that )

Why mower blades will not engage when buttom is pulled

I believe this one has an electric clutch. Check to see that the switch is operating properly, that the wiring is good to the clutch, and that the clutch is good. Use a volt meter to check that there is voltage to the clutch when the switch is operated.

Why won't the blades engage on my Ariens 911403

Chances are the deck drive belt has been knocked off one of the pulleys or the drive clutch won't engage properly. With the spark plug wire removed, rotate the blades by hand and make sure they both move together. This verifies the blade linking belt is OK. Now engage the blade operating control and feel for resistance as you rotate the blades. If you feel no change in resistance, remove the belt cover and reinstall the drive belt over the pulleys and tensioner/clutch mechanism.

Battery losing charge

Sounds like you have defective diode rectifier. this little box when working properly allows your voltage to only go 1 way to charge the battery. if you have used a vehicle to boost the tractor you have damaged the rectifier. because a vehicle running puts out 14.8 volts lawn equipment is 12 volts only you can boost using a vehicle only if it is NOT running

Scotts L2048 lawn tractor deck wont engage

You need to check the wires from the clutch, with the ignition on pull the pto switch out there should be a 12 volt supply at the wires if not replace the pto switch, if you have 12 volts then it is the clutch itself, they are not realy repairable, so may need a replacment.

Mower dies when pto is engaged blades move freely

Could be the seat switch. Your operator present switch only comes into play when the clutch is engaged. If the drive clutch is engaged, and the pto is engaged, the operator present switch has to be moade.

My blades wont engage and just hear click sound?

No permanent solution, but you probably can get by once by "riding" the clutch engagement lever - pushing it only part way forward and holding onto it.
