If you have checked everything else there is probably an in line anti surge fuse in the machine but I would not advise taking the machine apart yourself

I bought a colliodal silver machine and plugged it in, the voltage was wrong, it's American and it's voltage is 110 and it just stopped working. Have a broken it

Does this Silver sewing machine have a model number?
If you plugged a 110-vold machine into a higher voltage, you popped something. Hopefully there is is an internal fuse. If this is one of the newer electronic machines that has a computer inside, anything could be damaged.

Euro-Pro iron 1600 watts jsut stopped working. No lights, power... any suggestions??

First check out your power cable.
Then if you can open, see if there is any fuse, checkout that.

And if still not fixed, then you should take this to a technician.

Thanks

Hi, My Bernina Artista 180 sewing machine stopped working last night - during a storm - and I would like to check the fuse before taking it in to be serviced. We have exposed the Mother board but can...

There are two fuses on the 'L'-print power-supply module - this is in a separate compartment on the back panel, secured by a single long screw. These are both glass fuses and you MUST use the correct type if one has blown. Unfortunately, I have had a couple of this family of machines that have been subjected to mains glitches during local storms and it has taken-out the secondary power-supply on the main processor board 'S'-Print, which requires a very expensive replacement of the whole board. Symptoms of this type of damage range from intermittent 're-booting' of the machine, to complete failure, usually identified by the backlight on the display still being on without any displayed data, but the sewing light is off.

hi it sounds like something has shorted in the machine itself, this would defiantly be a janome repair mans job, have you checked the fuses? i think this has an internal fuse somewhere on the underside if its the same model i am thinking of, check them first, but if the socket fuse is ok, and the internal fuse is ok, then i am afraid it will be a call out hope this helps...

Locating fuse for the above

Which make a model is this? The line fuse should be located after the 120VAC line enters the sewing machine. Without knowing what model it is i can only give limited help. Unplug unit from the wall, and gain access to where the power cord enters the sewing machine chassis. There should be an internal fuse located shortly after. Let me know what model it is if what I have already said doesn't help you out.

Machine has stopped completely

This model is known to blow the fuse (3.0 amp) in the power board. A repair shop can replace it with a new style one (3.15 amp).

Good luck!

Elna 6003 just stopped working

Something caught inside the machine and jammed the mechanism. It blew a fuse to protect the circuit board. A competent Elna or Janome Dealer should be able to get you machine going in no time.I don't know of any reason to have trouble finding parts for this machine.
