Question about Electrolux Washing Machines

Open Question

Electrolux EWF 14780 unable to warm up water. The machine will start for about 5 minutes, then when the screen display with the wash temperature shows that it is to start warming up the water, machine just stops and gives a normal beep signal to indicate completion of washing process. No error codes. Cold water stays in. I had tried a wash cycle with cold water, machine just washed like normal. This problem started after I did a thorough clean of the machine with a half cup bleach at 90 degrees celsius yesterday morning with no laundry, followed by another full wash of kitchen towels at 90 degrees later part of the day. The machine is 5 years old, has always worked good, until I gave it a thorough clean. Whoever has a solution for me, thank you very much.

My problem is fixed by my husband. By pressing the two buttons from the right, we got an error code E66 which means fault on PCB. The green board behind the control panel has a bad soldering of the relay. One corner has came lose. Once the relay has been soldered back, the washing machine can warm up water like it should be.

SOURCE: No movement, then loud beeping alert

Check your exit hose spigot, it may be clogged. This is if your filter is all clean(ref manual). There should be air for passage in the standpipe behind. Your hose should not fit airtight into the standpipe and neither too deep into it. Snaking out your standpipe would be good too.

Rate me pl.....if helped. Click on 'thanks for trying' if not helped, your prob will be back for someone else to solve.

SOURCE: Zanussi ZWD1680W Front Load All-in-One... Problem:

With the symptoms you describe i would suspect a intermittent heater element fault as you are getting earth leakage current which is tripping the whole supply rather than a current overload which would just trip the socket circuit breaker. Get the heating element checked over first as this is the most likely cause.

SOURCE: water barely trickles out for rinse cycle

Hello,

It sounds like you have some buildup in the cold water valve screen. Where the hose connects to the washer there should be a screen inside the valve. Remove the cold water hose from the washer and clear any debri on the valve screen.

If this doesn't fix the slow cold water flow then you will have to replace the whole water valve assembly. The water valve is the piece that the hoses connect too and supply water to the washer.

If you have anymore questions about this please ask. I will be more than happy to help you out.

Thanks

How do I fix this problem: The OK light flashes. The washing machine worked for an hour but then this problem happened.

Obviously, an alarm is displayed after some time.
The alarm is displayed by a repeated flashing sequence of the START / PAUSE button with yellow and red light (0,5 seconds on, 0,5 seconds off with a 2,5 second pause between the sequences).
• button indicator START / PAUSE with yellow light indicates the first digit of the alarm code (family)
• button indicator START / PAUSE with red light indicates the second digit of the alarm code (internal number of the family).

Why wont my ewf 1080 electrolux spin

Most likely the washing machine is stuck in Hold mode. Check if you have the spin speed knob at the correct setting.

Our electrolux front loader Washing Machine EWF 1083 won't fill with water and there is a humming sound, does anyone know what the problem is ? cheers

Just a long shot - it may be the water inlet filter is blocked? normally there is a little mesh filter in the hose that screws onto the back - check that its not full of crap. This happened to me only a few weeks ago hope its as simple as that for you.
