Question about Dryers
When was the last time you cleaned out the dryer?most likely the air isn't moving out of the dryer good enough and when this happens usually one of the thermostats will pop as a safety so there isn't a fire or anything like that. open the door, find the door switch, push it in and out,it should make a click sound as you push it in,if it doesn't spring in and out most likely this is your problem, push it in and hit start,if the switch feels good and doesn't start you'll need a meter, first thing check where the cord connects to the dryer and make sure you have 240 volts coming to the dryer.if you do unplug it.now you have to remove the top panel, and then the front panel to get at the thermostats, there are a couple on the left side of the heater box and a couple on the blower wheel housing, most likely it will be the back t-stat on the heater box, this is the high limit,if that's good read out all of them.just check for continouity with the meter.
