Bad connection, slow downlink

This sounds like you might have a codec problem. Did you try uninstalling and reinstalling your video player? Have you ever tried using VLC player? Also, does this happen with all videos or just one file?

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

you need to update your codecs. a codec is a Coder/decoder hence the name. the file is coded at one place and your computer has to decode it. First off you have to find out what file isnt playing correctly be it a divx, and avi, an mpeg, an mp3 , an mp4 , a wav...... and on and on. once you figure out wich one is messing up do a google search for the codec. example divx = bad then search "divx codec download" and follow the links till you find one you can download. scan it for virus then install.
should fix the problem.

Go to control panel/power settings and change the "turn off monitor, turn off hard disks, and system standby" settings to at least 2 hours. If your screen saver is also a problem, go to control panel/display and the screen saver tab. Adjust the screen saver (or disable it) to prevent screen saver from coming up.

A new video card will definitely help. Upgrading your RAM will also help greatly. How much do you have in your system now? I can make some recommendations if you would like.
Thanks for using Fixya.

Your computer is just going to sleep from what it sounds like.
Just get into the monitor/power saving/screen saver settings and make it so the monitor has a longer relay to shut down when there is no mouse/keyboard movement.
