SOURCE: Canon D880 fuser

With an offset #2 phillips screwdriver and some patience you can do this- we have been fixing PLENTY of fusers on the imageclass series-you can get the fuser out thru the exit side of the copier.
1. UNPLUG COPIER , pull platen to left with grey lever
2.remove one screw for upper plastic cover cover pulls down and out
3.remove 2 screws on lower exit cover this comes up and out
4.remove small plastic cover on left side of exit assembly as you face end of copier.
5.pull back black plastic sheet to expose 3 connectors one plugs into circuit board two plug into heater or fuser assembly. unplug these
6.with your offset driver remove 3 screws holding fuser to frame of copier -these will be pointing up.
7. lift fuser up and carefully work out of copier.
check for stuck papers or damaged fuser film sleeve.
To reseat fuser and replace panels go slow and easy the panels fit back in kinda funky it takes a bit of tinkering.
We do not turn the copier upside down to remove the fuser and have replaced about 20 of the fusers or installed a new fuser sleeve.
Good luck and ask all ya want if more assistance is required.

SOURCE: My canon MP620 Paper Jam Pull out the Jam Paper Al

There are pieces of paper stock on the sensor, when the paper jam happened then you pull out the paper did you get the whole page of the paper or have missing pieces? open the paper guide, turn off and on the printer and observe the unusual objects in the roller, this error is caused by objects in the sensor.

Canon PC D340. The display says supply rec. paper tray: freesize. I have tried disconnecting the printer and reconnecting it but it has not worked. Can you tell me how to solve this problem...

Because the paper size of your software like Word is "custom", and the paper size setting of the printer is "ltr", the printer won't print until you change the paper size to "freesize". Change it in "Additional Functions" menu on the printer (Canon D340). (Word will change the paper size setting automatically if you adjust the margins of your paper too far)

Canon ir4570 always jam at fuser

To properly solve the jam, you would have to start taking apart the machine, take the fuser out and inspect the paper path, a service manual would be helpful as the machines paper path in most cases is very complex, there are alot of moving parts in the path.

there is possibly a small piece of paper in the path, stuck in a gear or something similar, or a part is out of place or there is something in the path that doesn't belong there.

Paper is wrinked and stuck, in the left side of machine above the cords. short of taking apart the entire machine do you have any advice

sounds like the jam has occured in the fuser area, if the fuser unit is not user changeable then a technician will have to be called.

I'm considering a Canon D340 multi-function copier and notice it has an "energy saver" button rather than an on/off switch. After making a copy, the panel goes dark. If you select the "energy saver"...

There is still power to the machine. It is simply waiting to be used. These machines use an "instant on" fuser. These fusers (the part that heats up to fix the toner to the paper) do not use a heater lamp that needs to stay hot. They use a thermal head that can heat up within a few seconds so no need to stay on and hot all the time.

The screen reads paper jam error, but there is no visible paper jam and when turned on a grinding noise occurs

Most likely, there is a paper jam in the fuser unit....which is stalling the fuser rollers, thus causing grinding noise (accordian or fan folded jam)

My copy machine feeds in paper but it comes out crumbled

Chances are the Fuser Assembly is getting caked up with toner. I am not sure if you honestly want to spend the money on Fixing this problem but, I seen this problem before and it is a pain to remove the fuser, it will most like take the tech an hour and 25 minutes to remove this from your unit.

Hi usually paper jam at paper input area a or transfor section(photo drum area or fuser unit area, so you may try:
1) take out paper tray and open the cover that you can change toner cartridge there (see manual) looking for any paper inside paper input area or around the cartridge, then take out jam paper.
2) open fuser unit at paper output area ckick a locker at somewhere (see maanual) looking for any paper jam

It thinks there is a document stuck in the document handler. Check for a small piece of paper, or a stuck sensor.
