Question about ASUS SOCKET AM2 AMD ATHLON 64 X2/64 FX/64/SEMPRON AMD 480X CROSSFIRE CHIPSE (M2AMVP) Motherboard
I have the system stated above, when I startup, I get the BIOS flash screen, which sometimes hangs and sometimesgoes to black before the boot loader is started. I am unable to access the BIOS via pressing the DEL button or access the post message via the TAB button. I use linux, when I manage to get past the BIOS flash screen, I get a read GRUB (B ootLoader) error. I have tried a live/startup cd but it cannot load as I have no access to the USB keyboard/mouse. I have tested the harddrive in another machine and that is fine. When open the green light indicating power is on and when I unplug the light stays on for a few seconds before fading, so I think the battery is fine. The fan works okay so there is definitely power circulating.
Any ideas what to try next??
I have no manuals for this machine, do you know where I can get them??
Try this press ESC, if this did not work press F1 or F2 lastly F8. Accessing the bios depend on manufacture. Process press the key and power if on the pc and keep pressing the key till hearing the beep or bios screen will turn on. Hope the info will help you access the bios screen.
