I just got a 1998 eclipse had to have it towed home it starts right up no problem but when it is running you cant get it to go in gear when it is off it will go in ever gear just fine any ideas


Standard transmission? If so, suspect a clutch issue. The tranny will most likely have to be removed to determine what has failed. Worn out clutch disk.... damaged pressure plate...... defective throw out bearing to name a few

Hello, I want to buy a new cd chainger for my car cd player eclipse cd 5000(my old chainger ch3083 is broken) which cd chainger is good for this cd player ? which is the best one ?


Changers are no longer being made. The only place you may be able to find one is on e-bay or maybe amazon. You can also try pawn shops or salvage yards.

No funciona solo aparece ecipse y es todo


A mí me pasa lo mismo y lamentablemente nadie aporta una solución, el mío (Eclipse 180 8GB)se ha quedado trabado en la pantalla azul de inicio con el logo "Eclipse" y no sé que hacer. Un tipo en las respuestas en idioma inglés dice que llamó al número de atención al cliente y le dijeron que dejara que la batería descargara por completo y luego presionara por unos 30 segundos el botón "Play" (me imagino que es el botón del centro, supuestamente es la manera de resetear el player) antes de conectar el USB al PC. No sé si funciona. Mi problema empezó por una canción que no tocaba bien y reinicié el aparato, y puse de nuevo la misma canción y luego se puso el logo azul en la pantalla y éste no se quitaba a menos de mover el switch a OFF, lo pase nuevamente a ON para que descargara por completo, pero ya no lo reconoce la PC y pide drivers, se queda congelado en el logo, ni carga, ni nada.
He visto que muchas personas tienen el mismo problema y todavía no aparece ninguna solución, tú post es el primero que leo en español. Dicen que será un problema de firmware, pero no venía con un CD de drivers o una herramienta para estos casos, la empresa Mach Speed parece que todavía no tiene una página de soporte implementada para este modelo "Eclipse", también no sé como destaparlo, pues la tapa es una sola pieza. Si sabes como solucionar tu problema, házmelo saber por este medio. Talvez es de esperar, porque el firmware que tiene mi player era de septiembre del año pasado y lo compré en noviembre, el precio es bajo, pero no es posible que nos tomen el pelo de esta manera.

I just need to know if there is anything special I should be aware of since these are antilock brakes. I am going to try and put new brake pads on myself since I have done so many times just never antilock...


they only thing you should be concerned about is the speed sensor and the wire connecting the sensor. they are in the vacinity of where you'll be working. other than that...same ol' same ol'

My 1999 suzuki vz800 will not recharge my battery. Battery is good. I just changed my voltage rectifier. Stator reads .7 ohms across all three phases and OL to ground across all three phases. Disconnected...

I am not getting any spark


You will need a digital multimeter for easy reading ( The one I use cost $5 ). Find the connecter for the two wires for the on/off switch. Disconnect the wires and connect the meter leads to these terminals. Set the meter to Ohms and check that the switch opens and closes connection. Should read OL when open and .01 when closed depending on meter setting. If it checks out, then not the switch. Also check the coil and spark plug boot/wire with Ohm meter. Be sure that the boot is firmly connected to the wire. Small wire to frame- OL. Small wire to spark plug boot- thousands of Ohms (possibly 5000-30000 but don't know the spec). If either of these shows a small number of ohms (example: .01-7 ohms), then there is a short in the coil. Also check that the steel bar of the coil is grounded to the frame/engine with Ohm meter- 0.01. To test the source coil connect ohm meter to small wire coming out and other meter lead to engine ground- should be hundreds of ohms. Sometimes it is easier to start replacing at the least expensive part!
