try taking out and reseating the ram sticks - if that doesn't work there is probably a motherboard fault.

take out the battery, and try again, if the problem is o.k the battery is bad replace. And test the adapter for to see is working good use THE VOM for test the adapter and replace it. However make this test take out the batteries, and adapter, and HOLD the power button by 30 seconds to drain the ECM, and try again. God bless you
please check if moisture level in the place were pc was left wasn't too high for it to operate. then please check are memo banks not loose, baisically just remove them, swap spaces and reinsert to another slot.
some cases fault is just loose memory.
